Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(upbeat music) - I'm Mark Baumgarten in the Crosscut KCTS 9 Newsroom where we're very excited to introduce you to the new host of "Crosscut Now," Paris Jackson.
Paris, welcome to the team.
- Thank you, Mark.
I'm really excited to be here.
- Okay, so tell us a little bit about yourself.
- I was born and raised right here in Seattle, raised in Tacoma and I graduated from Bellerman Prep, went off to Washington State University and I'm a mommy so being here in the community, family's here, it's exciting to make this my new home.
- That's great.
Well, what landed you in the Crosscut Newsroom?
- I reported in a couple of different markets across the country, but the bulk of my journalism career was right here in Seattle as an anchor reporter and this opportunity popped up and so it really aligned with where I'm at right now.
- And what are you going to bring to Crosscut?
- My love of storytelling.
A lot of great in-depth reporting is taking place right here in the newsroom so having the opportunity to present that on "Crosscut Now," I'm excited about that.
- Thanks, Paris.
I'm Mark Baumgarten.
