The pandemic caused a shortage of new cars, causing OLD cars to increase in value.
Because of that, the tax on them also went up.
The new law returns the tax to where it was last year.
People who've already paid this year's tax will get a rebate.
#### Governor Beshear is joining several other governors, calling on Congress to abolish the federal gas tax for the remainder of the year, in order to partially ease the price of gas.
The federal tax is more than 18 cents per gallon.
#### Kentucky's unemployment rate was four-point-four percent in January - down from four-point-six in December.
It was four-point-eight percent, a year ago.
The state also says General Fund revenues topped 967 million dollars for February, up
