With positivity and case numbers declining, the governor now plans to stop having his regular Monday COVID news conference.
#### The governor is criticizing a Senate resolution that would end Kentucky's COVID state of emergency early.
The governor says if the resolution passed, the state would lose some federal money used to feed low-income Kentuckians.
Senate President Robert Stivers says that's not the resolution's intent.
#### Senator Rand Paul wants to eliminate Doctor Anthony Fauci's job as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Paul's legislation would break the institute into three separate entities.
