#### The Kentucky House today voted in favor of a charter schools bill 51 to 46.
The measure creates a charter schools a pilot program in Louisville and Northern Kentucky - and codifies a funding mechanism for them.
The bill moves to the Senate.
#### Last night, the Kentucky House and Senate voted to override Governor Beshear's veto of a bill, ending Kentucky's COVID state of emergency.
The governor said ending the COVID emergency earlier than planned would cost Kentuckians 50 million dollars in food stamp benefits.
#### The Department of Housing and Urban Development is giving Kentucky 75 million dollars to help with Kentucky's recovery from disasters last year, including tornadoes that hit Western Kentucky in December.
