#### Legalized medical marijuana in Kentucky appears to be dead, this year.
Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer tells the Lexington Herald-Leader the votes aren't there in the Kentucky Senate.
The bill's sponsor, Representative Jason Nemes, says he's still working to get senators to support it.
#### The Senate approved a bill, preventing transgender girls from playing girls sports from middle school to college.
The bill's opponents are calling on Governor Beshear to veto it.
The Senate also passed a bill called The Teaching American Principles Act.
It requires teaching 24 specific historic documents, in Kentucky schools.
#### Senators also okayed a bill, limiting use of the death penalty for defendants with mental illnesses.
Under the bill, people with a history of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder could not be executed.
