#### The Kentucky House today passed a bill that cuts the state income tax from the current five percent to four percent, with a goal of eventually phasing it out completely.
To make up the lost money, the state would add a sales tax to some services.
#### The House also passed a bill, funding the legislative branch.
It includes a pay raise for lawmakers - a provision House Minority Leader Joni Jenkins tried to remove, unsuccessfully.
It now moves to the Senate.
#### The Kentucky Teachers Retirement System says it is NOT a major investor in a major Russian bank, despite rumors.
The Courier Journal quotes the system's general counsel, who says the system sold off its 12 million in investments February 23rd, BEFORE Russia invaded Ukraine.
