[crown applauding] Mark O'Connor: Well, I've been composing music since I was 13, arranging folk music since I was 12.
So I've been at this quite a while.
So when we're both out there performing, there's several things going on in my mind.
We're reaching our audience through creative expressions.
We're also an example of what can happen if we have a more musical culture, and we feel that responsibility to be, you know, role models for young people coming up in music.
Maggie O'Connor: I feel so lucky because so many musicians have to be apart from their spouse to do what they do, and it's a lot of time on the road.
It's a lot of time alone.
I get to do everything together.
So I don't even really get homesick because it's like I'm always home whenever I'm with him.
Mark: We love playing acoustically nice rooms, you know.
I mean, that's kind of what we live for.
Our instruments just sound way better in places like the Old Steeple.
So that really helps us play better and makes the music connect more to the audience.
Maggie: I find that when we play at these different venues they have their own energy and personalities too, and you end up playing the room just like you play an instrument.
You can just feel the character right when you walk in; and this one just has so much character, and I'm really excited to be playing here.
Mark: We're glad to be here.
