♪ [snappy music] ♪ [TV Reporter speaking over dramatic background music] An atomic bomb breaks loose from a mounting shackle in a B-47 jet over Florence, South Carolina, plummets to earth, causing a sensational freak accident.
Now don't freak out.
The bomb wasn't actually armed, but still, due to the bomb's massive size, the impact created a giant shockwave that caused property damage and some people close to the blast suffered minor injuries.
Today, the crater from the bomb is still visible.
Though it isn't much, it's still a weird but cool piece of SC history.
