A Facebook group in Washington wants to help you get a vaccine appointment.
Started by siblings Sharla and Steve, Find a COVID Shot Washington has more than 52,000 followers.
The group's mission: to make COVID-19 vaccines more accessible for people of color, elderly people, and the high-risk community.
The real magic of the group is the 75 trained volunteers who speak more than 15 languages and can provide one-on-one help.
One of the group's success stories involves Melissa Espinoza, who spent three weeks trying to find a vaccine appointment for her father-in-law, with no success.
Her nieces, who both work in healthcare, tried to help, but they were also stumped.
Once Espinoza joined the Facebook group, she was able to schedule appointments for the same week.
A majority of her family is now fully vaccinated and they recently gathered to celebrate her father-in-law's 78th birthday.
I'm Starla Sampaco.
