Are Washingtonians ready for a post-pandemic normal?
A Crosscut/Elway Poll conducted in April shows that while some are eager to get vaccinated and get on with their lives, many people who are fully vaccinated remain cautious about ordinary activities.
When asked about attending a concert or sports event, 18% of respondents said they already had or never stopped going, 17% said they are ready to this summer, 9% will this fall, and 16% said they'll wait until next year.
Almost 70% of respondents either have already been vaccinated or are likely to be vaccinated.
That's way up from a January poll, when only 55% of respondents wanted to get the vaccine.
Of the 30% who say they will not get vaccinated, nearly 50% had concerns about safety or side effects.
15% say they don't trust the government, while 8% say they don't trust vaccines.
