>> JOHNSON TOOK OFFICE AFTER THE SHORTEST MAYORAL TRANSITION IN HISTORY , JUST 41 DAYS.
THE RUNOFF THAT HE WON WAS MORE CONTESTED THAN LORI LIGHTFOOT'S ELECTION.
AS YOU HEARD HIM SAY, THIS WAS A COLLABORATIVE PROCESS THAT BROUGHT IN AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE AND THAT GIVES US A GLIMPSE INTO HOW HE INTENDS TO GOVERN.
>> JOHNSON DESCRIBED THIS AS A CULMINATION OF A DECADE-LONG EFFORT TO MAKE CHICAGO A MORE EQUITABLE PLACE TO LIVE.
WHAT ABOUT HOW HE PLANS TO GOVERN ?

HE IS SAYING HIS ROLE IS ORGANIZER IN CHIEF, BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER AND IMPLEMENTING THE BEST PLANS.
