Those are all comments.
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky reportedly made about former President Donald Trump shortly before the January six, 2021 attack on the Capitol.
That's according to a new biography of McConnell that's being released later this month.
Author Michael Tackett says the remarks are part of a collection of private comments that McConnell made available to him in a statement out yesterday.
McConnell said, quote, Whatever I may have said about President Trump pales in comparison to what J.D.
Vance, Lindsey Graham and others have said about him.
But we are all on the same team now.
Publicly, McConnell has endorsed Trump in next month's election.
McConnell is the longest serving party leader in the history of the U.S. Senate.
Earlier this year, the 82 year old announced he is stepping down as Republican leader after the election, but that he plans to finish out his term, which runs through the end of 2026.
