Sen. Rand Paul blocks measure against hair discrimination

Assemblywoman Angela McKnight calls it a blow to civil rights

The CROWN Act aims to protect people of color from discrimination if they choose to wear their hair in its natural state. The bill was blocked in the Senate this week by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky). A state version of the measure is law in New Jersey. We talk with Assemblywoman Angela McKnight, who led that bill through the State House.
