I'm Aaron Schwagger.
I'm a proud fifth generation Northlander born and raised in Duth.
I'm a small business owner.
I'm a husband to my amazing wife who's a duth public school teacher and a father to my fantastic daughters who live here in Hermantown with me and our dogs.
I'm running to be your next state representative because I believe we can do better.
Northland families are struggling right now.
We're living paycheck to paycheck, working multiple jobs, still struggling to put food on the table, to fill up the gas tank, to pay for out-ofpocket health care costs.
We can do better.
The Northland deserves a representative who's going to stand up and fight for you, who won't be a rubber stamp for big tech, for big pharma or greedy corporations, who's willing to take on the data centers and stop irresponsible development and hold those who are in power accountable.
I will always have your back and I won't be in somebody else's pocket.
And when we do that and we start investing in people and putting people before profits, we can do things like save our rural hospitals, ensure that we all have access to affordable quality health care, build affordable housing, stop the extreme costs of rising property taxes so we can keep more money in your pocket.
We need to fund our daycare centers so young families can have a start here in the Northland because child care is critical workforce infrastructure and it shouldn't be a barrier to education or to finding a job.
This is what I'm fighting for.
I'm fighting for you.
I'm fighting for the Northland.
This November, voters have a hard decision to make.
But I am going to be in your corner and I want you to know that we don't have to stick with the status quo.
We can do better.
We can make those investments into jobs and infrastructure.
We can make the Northland a place where families can thrive today and succeed in the future.
I'm Aaron Schwiger.
I'm running for Minnesota House District 3B.
And I humbly ask for your vote and support by November 3rd.
Thank you very much for your time.
Hey Northlanders, it's your state representative Natalie Zesnikar.
It's been an honor to serve you the past four years and I'm proud to represent Two Harbors, Hermantown, Rice Lake, Proctor, Gary, New Deluth, and 14 fabulous townships across the district.
I've spent a lot of time in the district over the last four years.
I was able to pass 18 bipartisan bills in the minority party and that was just by working across the aisle.
When I ran facilities caring for uh vulnerable seniors, I never knew who had a D, an I, or an R after their name.
And quite frankly, it didn't matter.
What mattered was a common shared goal to make sure we gave great care.
And I've taken that same spirit down to the Capitol to represent northern Minnesota to get things done that matter to them.
Just this morning, I was helping a constituent with their uh child to be able to do the youth deer hunt and they were having problems with the online uh registration.
So, I was working with the Minnesota DNR this morning to get this fixed so our kids can go out and hunt and do the traditions that we love up here.
I've worked hard to make sure we have ATV trails to make sure that we have a strong commercial tax base for our region.
I mean, let's be clear, motans are tired of being taxed.
I mean, I hear it all the time.
We need to have more money in our own wallet.
We need to see more money on our paycheck every two weeks.
And we can do a lot in the state of Minnesota.
The reality is we passed a lot of bills under the Democrat trifecta that increase the cost of living for everyone.
I mean, if tax the rich meant just billionaires, then ask yourself why the state is seeing across the state, in every city, in every county, double-digit property tax increases as a common way of life.
It's not common.
And when you look at what other states are doing, it's the same thing on car tabs.
The same half a ton truck in this state is over $1,000 to get it uh to get vehicle tabs and it's about 117 just across the the border in Wisconsin.
We need to be competitive.
We need to have jobs here.
We had a recent situation where a steel processing plant is considering Iowa.
Why?
Well, when you look at their tax bracket, it's pretty obvious they can have their workforce have more money in their wallet.
their individual tax bracket is a flat tax and we don't have that in the state of Minnesota.
I think we need to get back to the basics.
We need a child tax credit for middle-income people.
We need affordable housing which means property taxes that aren't going to price you out of your home.
Whether you're a senior, whether you're a middle-income family or you're just getting started, we can do better Minnesota and I'll work hard for you.
Have a great uh fall.
Enjoy the season and don't forget to vote.
Your vote matters.
