Who I am, I am a veteran.
I'm a small business owner.
I'm also a project manager who works in natural gas and compliance.
And the reason that I'm running today is because I am applying to you, the people, for this position.
We currently have an open position for all the Senate seats.
Right now in Senate District 10, we have an incumbent, somebody that's had this position that has put forth over 50 bills and has only had one passed.
That is not acceptable.
I'm a community member who's never run before.
The reason why I'm running is we are not just a community of people that have one need.
We're a community of people that we are farmers, we are business owners, we are employees, we are employers.
We are a group of people that actually it's a knit together society that depend on one another.
It's not just a partisan of left or right.
It's an interconnected web that all of our needs matter.
All of our businesses need employees.
All of our farms need to sell their goods.
They need to turn over a profit.
Right now we have representation that's had the last four years to help us.
Right near now we have representation in the Senate seat that hasn't helped us that's used people's pain people's religion people's morals people's lives against them in that they come up and put forth what they believe in but don't represent the people.
I want to represent our people.
I want to represent our people by working across the aisle.
That's why I'm not just a DFL candidate.
I am also endorsed by the forward independence party and the reason I was able to achieve that dual endorsement is because I will work across the aisle.
I will agree where I can and disagree where I must but I will bring forth the project manager in me that holds a common goal and works with different groups with different interests and brings them to that common goal.
I will work to have a better score at the end when when the four years are over of one.
I will work to bring forth things that will help prevent mandates that force people to lose profit, that force people to do things that they can't afford to do.
We all can support each other.
We all can do better.
And I'm applying to you, the people, to be that person to do better.
I'm Tara Kllin and I'm running for Minnesota Senate District 10.
And I ask for your vote.
