I'm a company dancer with Minnesota Ballet.
This is my fourth season and I get to be Clara, which is wonderful I get to be a little girl again, which is always fun.
I get to bring out my inner child.
I started ballet when I was around ten in Colorado.
That's where I'm from.
And there they did a few productions a year.
We got to do a lot of fun classical ballet.
And I think that helps me fall in love even more with the dancing.
From there, I moved on to New York, a school there, and I feel I gained a lot of not only technique in ballet, but also good life experience and discipline.
And then I moved on to back to Colorado and Colorado Ballet.
Moving from school to company life is a huge change.
It's just such a different way of working and working with people in an environment.
And I think with any profession you go from school into that profession, that's just very different learning the ropes, depending where you're suppose to be and not stepping on other people's toes literally and figuratively.
