Melanie Gawlik is a Trauma Services Director. She wishes people could see what she faces day to day to understand the impact the virus has on its patients. When patients are severely ill and dying, her staff are there to hold their hands and when patients are well enough to go home they celebrate. Its emotionally taxing and she is proud of her staff for being so resilient in the face of the virus.
