Julian Carroll passed away Sunday at the age of 92.
He was more than the state's 54th governor who served from 1974 to 1979.
He was also lieutenant governor, speaker of the Kentucky House and a state senator.
During today's memorial service at the state Capitol Rotunda.
Notable politicians praised his public service.

Julian Martin Carol was in the room.
In the primary.
I will tell you how and what I would call him today, because this is how we wound up our years in the Senate.
I would call Julian Carroll, my friend.
You've traveled far.
And now it's time for you to rest your.
