“REVERSING THE STIGMA”
Approximately one in seven people in New York suffer from addiction, yet only ten percent receive help. Why? In a “MetroFocus” special report, journalist Laurie Dhue, herself a recovering addict, takes us across the state to talk to our neighbors, co-workers, and in some cases our friends and family who are in varying stages of recovery. They all offer a reminder that addiction isn’t a choice.
