Although May is Mental Health Awareness month, Mayor de Blasio made deep cuts to the city’s ThriveNYC mental health initiative. 400 years after the first men, women and children were brought to the New World in bondage, Brooklyn’s Billie Holiday Theatre pays tribute to their memory and to those who followed. After 10 years, WNYC and WQXR’s “Greene Space” continues to bear fruit. Sesame Street.
