(Music) Hi.
I'm an Doyle.
I'm president of Mid-Michigan Children's Museum.
This is our 16th year of being in Saginaw County.
And we cater to, the Great Lakes Bay region and beyond.
I'm here today to show you the museum.
This is a great place to bring your children and your grandchildren, and we are in the old Garber Buick showroom.
Dick Garber donated the building to the museum when we didn't have a location.
And we're right in downtown Saginaw.
Easy to get to.
And we're looking forward to seeing you.
So come on, let's go take a tour so you know what you're going to be doing.
Now we're at the Water, Water Everywhere Gallery As you can see, it's truly water, water everywhere.
It's a great place to bring your grandchildren, either before or after lunch, You're going to want to bring a change of clothing for the children.
They will get wet.
We're now at Aunt Sugar's Farm and Uncle Pickles Barn .
This is where the children learn all about agriculture while they're playing.
They learn about sugar beets.
They learn about pickles.
They know how to make all the vegetables go up a conveyor belt...sort up on the loft level of the barn, and then send it down the hopper, sort them again and put them on a truck and send them out to market.
Here we are in Car Works.
We're all about children learning while playing.
So in Car Works, they learn how to go to the bank in the car, how to stop at the stoplight, how to change a tire, and what happens when you get in a race car and start racing.
You hear some racing sounds, “racing car sounds Varoooom” it looks like it's going.
S o this is a great place for children to spend part of their time at the museum, and then move on to Art Mart and Tinker Track to learn a few more skills.
Here we are in Insides Out.
This is where children learning all about the pediatrician's office that they visit.
The dentist, cardiologist, chiropractor, the eye doctor.
From here, the really small children can go to Tot Spot.
And the other children can go to Airways and learn how air moves balls through air tubes.
“air whosing and clanking sounds” Throughout the museum, you will find pictures as you enter the museum, through the lobby and down the corridor to the museum and again as you leave.
These pictures were all done by children back in 2007-2008 to prepare for the grand opening.
Those children are now adults and they bring their children here to see the pictures.
So, I'd like to invite you to come to Mid-Michigan Children's Museum, located in downtown Saginaw.
Hope to see you soon.
