So this is, yeah, it's just a local guy in Albuquerque kick this off and they got one in Vegas now.

(people chatter) (calm music) (calm piano music) - Well, Fer started, founded the band in 2015.

It started with other members and then the pandemic came.

He reunited us.

He invited us and we did like a session there in Chihuahua and it all started from there.

♪ - Most of the times it start in the studio like with a beat, and we match the vibe and then we start adding like one thing and another thing.

And then we start building the song with the synths, with guitars.

For me it's more like classic rock, psychedelic rock.

Right now I have an obsession with Super Tramp.

I love Super Tramp, but I've been like listening a lot of Pink Floyd, a lot of Allen Parsons, which I've been able to put in the music.

- [Ken] I read too that language is secondary and that it's the emotional connection and I really, really vibed with that 'cause that's how I enter music.

(In Spanish) My Spanish is very bad (group laughs) (In English) Well, when you hear music like The Funk, the classic disco, you hear it in English.

We grew up listening to Nile Rogers records and we heard like, Lets Dance or The Chic all those were written in English.

And for us it was like, "We have to do that music in English."

- It felt that way.

We we're not just trying to make music in English.

- Your shows are so spontaneous and I read that you call them like the Mario and Luigi moments of like the jam.

- Behind every track there's like a context.

When me and my brother wrote the song, the lyrics, we were thinking on the Smash Brother and I don't know the sound that we were making, it sounded to me like really funny and good vibe.

In a live performance, I don't remember what happened, but I said like, "I'm gonna scream like Mario."

- So most of the times, those times when we are playing, sometimes it just born something like spontaneous.

In this case, Fernando just said like, "I'm Mario."

- It's-a me, Mario.

(chuckles) (upbeat funk music) - And we have mustaches.

So that's funny.

He's Luigi because he's taller.

- Yeah.

Sometimes unexpected things will happen.

And one time Fernando just came up to me and then started wiping my face with a towel while I was playing.

It was like, I wasn't seeing that coming at all.

So we just like, there's like playfulness to the performances that we like to bring to the table.
