Therapists are concerned about a new law requiring them to report to police.
Under a law recently signed by Gov. Murphy, instead of weighing the best option to fulfill their duty to warn, mental health professionals are required to report clients who they deem may harm themselves or others to the police. This has therapists concerned that it may end up deterring people from seeking treatment.
