New program aims to get benefits for LGBTQ+ veterans

LGBT service members can get their discharge status changed so they can receive benefits.

The state Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will now help LGBTQ service members to get their discharge status changed so they can receive all the state and federal benefits entitled to someone who served.
