Mistrust, Pandemic Likely Contribute to Low Census Response

Efforts are underway to boost response rates in hard to reach places, like Little Village.

Late Thursday, a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to abandon last-minute changes to the 2020 census schedule and extend the time until the end of October. Whenever the tally ends, there's a push to boost the response rate, especially in places like Chicago's Little Village where residents are often harder to reach.
