We welcome you to gpb's Prime Time coverage a free Halloween edition of football Fridays here in Georgia.
Guilt Tyree, along with my partner in crime tray McDaniel.
And of course, you know, we camped out here all this week.
Of course, finishing up after Southwest the cabin Tucker, Trey had a great week with you.
We have a great football game here tonight to great football teams.
And we're going to see boat loads of talent.
Yeah, there's no less than 20 guys that will go on to play division.
One college football from these two programs and we're not talking about division to division three.
We're talking about The Usual Suspects.
Feel UGA, Miami Florida, Florida, State, big boy.
But Tennessee, Arkansas Mississippi Old, Miss Vanderbilt, you name it.
They're playing on this football field by far the most Talent, Rich group of players that we've seen all season.
And let's start out with our two teams here tonight.
Let's start with the MLK lines who come Here.
Great football right now.
Yeah, ranked number two in the 5A classification.
Looking to win their third region in a row tonight.
A win would go a long way toward that and they've got one of the best pure, passers, we've seen all season, in my gravy has Johnson 12 touchdowns.
This young man will probably be smart to go on to play football at the ivy league and he's got a counterpart by the name of Demarcus polite, Bray.
And they may be the best passer wide receiver combination.
We've seen all season polite.
Bray is being looked at by I Arkansas and Tennessee is quite a combination.
There's no secret when it what they want to do tonight, Gil and that's are the ball out, you go over to the defensive side of the ball.
You want to talk about?
Big-time guys going to big-time schools, let's look at Junior quarterback.
Wesley grain being looked at by Florida, Florida state, Alabama and Georgia.
There's 8 out of 11 guys will move on to play college football at the next level.
From the defense that green leads tonight.
You know, Mark talked about these two teams battle and last year to a 52-49 ballgame and of course Stephenson comes in this game.
Last week, the tough loss to Miller Grove the Wolverines getting it done by the count of twenty nine to 22.
So what does Ron gartrell and Company due to rebound and try to get back in it?
Good enough.
Well you can learn a lot from a loss and I believe coach gartrell thinks they've learned a lot this week in practice.
The problem is they've got to beat the number two team in the state right now.
And then have helped and have Miller Grove lose at some point.
They have no real big names on offense, but some very talented players.
There conduit is their senior quarterback.
He has got some weapons both inside and And out Justin Holman three touchdowns on the ground five through the air, but he's going to be turning around tonight, handing the ball to probably four or five different tailbacks very much offense by committee.
Not so on defense, though, Stephenson has some huge names on defense and the quarterback of the defense is their middle linebacker.
Rashad pain leads the team in tackles leads them in tackles for losses, he has the toughest job tonight because he's the quarterback.
He has to line that defense up against four wide receivers for MLK and the Stephenson defense gave up.
Yards in the air last week against Miller Grove their one and only loss of the Season.
As always trade McDaniel, does a good job in setting the stage here tonight?
Let's join the third member of our broadcast crew here tonight and Clarkston, John Nelson, the conductor, the author and historian.
It's all yours.
Thank you GT.
Thank you.
Trey.
Good evening to both of you.
Good evening everyone.
The Sonic sound of Stephenson has been up and running for the last 40 minutes.
They're hoping for another version of Sonic sound up here in the stands.
Trey, you talked about the Log Jam in region 6.
5A.
Let's show it to you and let's find out what everyone has to fight for you.
Look at the top of the ladder, you see the big names right there at the top.
It is six teams fighting for four spots.
Tonight is the round-robin for those top four teams in this region.
So tonight, and the next two weeks will decide who makes it to the third season.
As we are hip-deep in the second season, will find it all night long.
There are 60 games on the board tonight.
That means something, we'll send it up to you upstairs and have updates all night long.
Of course, one of those games will be Miller Grove and Tucker going on as we speak.
Another big bowl game in this Jam pack region skin tight as down Nelson.
Talked about wisdom ZT will kick off the back to receive for MLK will be Donald Clark and Marcus polite.
Bray, and we're under way here in Clarkston and wisdom zds sales it deep, and it goes out of bounds.
So the lines will take them first and ten at their own 20 train.
Let's take a look at their keys.
He's of the ball game here tonight.
We start with MLK for the lion.
There's no secrets they want to air the ball out and they want to throw it to their wide receivers.
They have to execute if they're able to execute they'll have a leg up.
Also faced Three Special Teams, not really a strong suit of Martin Luther King High School.
If they do well and just hold their own it'll go a long way toward winning this huge region battle.
Now you look at Stephens and they've got to make them count.
Guild this game.
Last year was 52-49, they got to make every Drive count and they have to stay within themselves.
If they can force MLK to play their style of football Bill win.
Those are the keys here tonight, MLK undefeated, in this region, taking over first and 10 at their own 20.
We're glad to have you with us here on GPB tonight.
You see Clark in motion, now Full House backfield and then clock will go to the near side, parking at signals for the wives monk waving, his Johnson, a kid is getting a whole lot of interest in the ivy league and immediately we have whistles and a flag and I'm sure that will be a delay a game.
Right.
Absolutely, not the way you want to start the game.
They've got the pills at give them but you don't want to start with the penalty before you even played one snap of football, all right?
You see a great crew tonight, Junior and senior dad and son Cameron Franklin, Junior the referee, the Umpire Cameron Franklin senior.
And you see the rest of the GHSA crew here tonight and Clarkston.
That'll bring up first and 15.
A loss of five for MLK Clarke again in motion.
He'll go around on the edge and get Over the 25 30 and pushed out of bounds near the 35-yard line.
Let's take a look at the MLK offense, the lineups here tonight, I love the offensive line.
And, of course, you see, bent the center, qualms Stallworth and Cornelius Jones, they get a whole lot of interest from division one and Trey will talk about that a little bit later on trade talked about for like Brave.
You see, Donald Clark, we're millio Shumake, the outstanding wide receiver, a possession guy, our lineups, what to buy It's time to expect more.
Johnson running for his life and he finds his receiver and it is complete to her shot ovals.
Be up to the 35 yard line close to the 40 a gain of nine tray.
You'll, this is what we were talking about pure passer Johnson is not a dual threat quarterback, but he does enough to get away from the pass rush and he shows you his arm and his accuracy, not an easy thing to do rolling out to your right, the ball at the 41 yard line first in 10 right now for The lines of MLK.
And again, straight ahead and scrambling.
And moving his way is Spencer Williams.
Let's take a look at the Stephenson defense.
Starting lineups brought to you by Regions Bank.
It's time to expect more.
They run out of a 4-3.
He's shikari, Alexander George and you see the linebacker crew, Rashad pain, the leader in the middle and the secondary.
Love Ali.
Groves who said it to South Carolina.
Ronald Peter, cancer, Gooden, and Khalil ladler freshman, the only freshman the first freshman and start before Stevenson in a decade.
How about that?
He's a good second and four with a gain of 647 at Johnson plenty of time.
Lofted, it wrong and the past Falls incomplete, and we have a flag on the play.
The intended receiver was polite, Bray, and we have a flag on the play tray.
I'll put about the 30-yard line of Stephenson.
You like the play call because on second down and short yardage situation near Midfield.
It never hurts to go deep 15-yard penalty automatic first down.
They try to get the ball in the hands of polite brave for the first time tonight, and the end up, getting a 15-yard penalty out of it.
So they'll move the ball and just their first possession into Stevenson territory and their see, a good shot of Coach gartrell.
You talk about guns, that guys are good.
He's a great one and Coach guards, gartrell.
And See robear don't call me Robert Freeman and he succeeded coach Carson, unfortunate situation and Jon Nelson.
Will enter a will expand on that a little bit more first intent, courtesy of the 15-yard penalty.
The lines in Jaguar territory, first of ten at the 39th 10:42, in the opening period and we still have of delay and flags and confusion at the line of scrimmage.
The Jaguars have pointing it again.
MLK today is against SEMO.
Catch me defense against Stephenson defense.
Have been number 56, for Stephenson senior khari Alexander trying to plead his case that it was the offensive tackle that jumped offsides.
But actually, he jumped prematurely into the neutral zone and they'll move the ball.
Another five yards that's 20 yards in the last two plays, Gil that they've gotten for free, have the Lions on offense and tray.
That's a trend.
We've seen all year, penalties early.
And throughout football games first and five at the 35, courtesy of that penalty.
And again, Johnson working out at a shotgun, and they give and spinning and turning, was a Spencer Williams and it gets close to the 30 yard line Gil.
This offense wants to are the ball out, but when they do hand off, nine times, out of ten, it will be the number three, Spencer Williams, He leads them in rushing with 354 yards, three touchdowns but most impressive deal.
He's averaging 6.1 yards per carry, so he's where he needs to be.
When they need them.
But if they have their way guilty, like to air it out, probably eighty ninety percent of the time second and five at the thirty five 1011, our clock continues to wind down, and this opening quarter Johnson.
It looks lat and the intended receiver over there was Donald Clark and it falls incomplete.
Take a look at this tray.
Clark look, like he had a seam and look like there was a window there, but it was a great play made by number 21 for Stephenson, and that's kite.
Dallas, Dallas, 63 220 from an outside linebacker, big kid and got his big paw in there and saved.
What could have been a touchdown.
There was no safety deep.
So if Clark catches that he's standing the end zone, six points are displayed look.
All receivers to the near side with a third and fourth at 33 Johnson.
He's going to scramble the first down yardage, and then some pushes it about to the 25-yard line of Stevenson.
He called his old number.
Try to take a look at the replay and tell our viewers, what we see here.
Well, Johnson does a great job to not throw this ball into coverage downfield.
He's not known as a runner.
As a matter of fact, he comes into this football game with 30 yards on the ground, he wants to stand back there in the pocket and pick the opposing defense apart.
That was a very heads-up move and it yielded him a first down there.
Image Council normal, stop importing The Edge and going and moving and pushing the football Janelle Smith.
It gets over the 15 down to the 14.
He no, first downs in this drivetrain.
They continue to push the football, the lines of MLK.
Look at the big fella.
Go east and west, and then decide to get North and South in a hurry 6-foot 230 pounds with Junior.
He's alone and he picked up nearly 10 yards on the carry and has a matter of fact, but the spot they give him exactly 10 yards.
And another first down, first, down for the lines of MLK, the high snap, and they give again is to Jamel.
Sniff MLK has a stable of back, straight talked about that up top.
They will run it and run it and run it and mix it up and they're doing here right now in the opening quarter.
And of course, the script, A lot of these have scripted plays as we approach the 9-minute mark.
Johnson with Smith right next to it.
I snapped looking back of the end zone, has a receiver and that is a touchdown Demarcus / Right Way touchdown.
I'm okay.
George Tracy McDaniel.
What did we see?
Well I guess we spotlighted.
The right, you guys at the top of the broadcast Johnson to polite Bray.
That's his eighth.
Touchdown catch of the Year Johnson's only thrown 13 of them Guild and a BB gun at that young man right there.
6-foot 175-pound.
It looks from Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi.
He had a 51-yard touchdown pass against Lakeside last week.
Doesn't take him long to get on the board this week.
Cook is up and it is good so it is MLK.
Drawing First Blood here tonight, 7, nothing MLK.

Back here at home.
First Stadium, 7-nothing MLK courtesy of the touchdown pass from Johnson took polite, Bray with more on the Freeman story, Roberto Freeman.
The interim coach at MLK downstairs, to John Nelson.
Elliot Gillum, we talk about robear Freeman and he's a DeKalb County kid.
He knows what these rivalries mean.
Lithonia grad went to Clark Atlanta three year starter but check out the frequent flyer miles.
When it came to his pro career had two cups of coffee in the NFL with the And the Houston Texans then from there he goes to NFL Europe plays for the Rhine fire back to Arena Football Nashville and Columbus.
Then he turns into a coach at Stone Mountain.
High School comes over last season to coach the defensive backs at MLK and with what happened with Iron Mike Harrison in late August.
He was the only one certified.
The athletic director in the principal asked him.
Hey, would you like to be the head coach?
He said, sure, I'll take that kind of a challenge.
You see the results of the challenge so far, leading into this game and they've got the first seven.
Points on the board in a rough region.
Battle back upstairs, and I'll tell you what he told me.
It's some time with them this week.
Trey, he wants a job is going after, but a very intense young man who gets it done gray boots had long taken by one of the up man for Stephenson about the 18 yard line.
Let's take a look at the touchdown replay brought to you by our good friends T CS G. Learn more earn more Johnson to polite.
Ray Ray was able to get to one foot and bounce and that is for a touchdown, 14 yards and the elapsed time at nine play 80-yard Drive, elapsed time of 317, you see it right there?
Trey, you had to be impressed with it.
Boy that s***.
Yes, our replay scoring Drive brought to you by TS tcsg learn more.
Herbal quite right.
It's exactly what MLK wanted on the first possession of the game, they were able to do everything they want.
And even establish the run a little bit.
Got to be happy about that.
He looks at it as seven is going to give and still to hold and Zone bomb with the football and going 85 yards to the house and scoring for the touchdown for.
Student-centered look like Evan Jones.
Evan Jones for the touchdown 85 yards to the house.
Let's take a look at the replay brought to you by our good friends at tcsg.
Learn more earn more tray here.
Like I just said that MLK set the tone by establishing the run.
This is one way to establish the run if you're Stevenson 85 yards.
One play, one touchdown.
They immediately answer back with their senior, tailback Evan Jones smaller guy Gil, 59 180.
Only his third touchdown of the Year Jay.
Mike Davis, huh?
Yes sir, we saw last year with the Home Run and he hit a home run right here and just like that.
We are close to being tied up pending the extra point by ZT.
The kick is up.
It looks good.
And it is good.
And folks, we are tied, when you take a look at Evan Jones, getting a look at H2O in his system, real replay brought to you by TCS to learn more and more trade, great job by the offensive line, but even better job.
By number 34, the senior fullback who comes through the hall and takes care of the linebacker at the second level, everybody had cheated up because they know Stevenson wants to run the ball, there's no secret there, but as soon as he got past that block by Cromartie, he was gone.
85 yards to the just like that.
We are tied at seven at the 825 bike here in the first quarter and Tre shades of 2011, huh?
I was just about to say that last year, 52 49 MLK wins on a Second touchdown region titles up for grabs region title, implications in this game.
But Gil the last two seasons, they've played the last game of the season and the winner won the region.
Last two years, it's been MLK.
When in the region, this game has been moved up on the schedule just to tick, but the importance is still there.
So silly, we'll put it away.
As told me, it's leather back to receive for MLK Clark and polite.
Pray, and I'll tell you the secret, you know, For students and Reggie Baul the offensive coordinator.
And of course, eating a great story of soccer player of African descent told Coach, gartrell, he wanted to come on and try out and he has come on and done great.
Thanks, taking the football and getting out is to markets the right way.
And folks, who may house system?
Take a look at those 10 touchdown.
Wow.
No Flags.
Trey a late flag came in.
And it came to know where it did.
It just mysteriously showed up.
Trust me, folks.
It did all the way back at the 16 yard line that's going to be a block in the back.
It has to be at that point on the field polite and Ray just cook it to a seventh gear.
When he got down the sideline, once he crossed over Midfield and he was gone.
And there was no doubt about it.
But I believe this is going to come back and Stevenson.
Better flee feel awfully fortunate at this comes back.
Turn black in the back maternity have this to the go, those down.
Stephenson Dodges.
A bullet will take a look at the infraction lower portion of your screen tray.
And there it is.
They called a block in the back there.
I'm back to you, Gil.
You beg to differ.
Yeah, I looked like a side, hit to me.
Safety is obviously Paramount in this situation but I believe that was a safe hid under the shoulder pad on the side of great, great hard block, or the touchdown as rubbed out.
So MLK will start beeping.
They're totally first 29 at their own on and they're pushed back.
Even more you, let's talk about the change of Fortune here.
You lose a little bit of the momentum with the long touchdown run.
And then you regain the momentum with the long kick return.
And now it gets called back and your very first play from scrimmage.
You have a tackle for loss by Ryan George, the senior defensive tackle, and all of a sudden things in just a few minutes.
We're only five less than five minutes into this game Gill.
And there's been three swings of momentum or energy or whatever you want to call it.
And this is a packed Stadium there.
Probably 12,000 people.
You're right now and they're all going crazy Roxton bubbler on the stop.
The pass him Johnson into the flat and it's complete to Spencer Williams, and he gets over the 25 yard line up to about the 28 waist pushed out of bounds.
Let's take a look at the replay trick.
You'll, I don't know what you do to defense this.
This is such a dynamic offense, Spencer Williams known for his running ability.
Only have only caught seven passes coming into this football game and right there.
He picks up a big-time first down after that.
Tackle for loss, to get them out from the shadow of their own goal post.
And now let's see if this offense can pick up where it left off on their first drive and they're going to come out, like they usually do deal with four wide first antenna game than 19 and the spread and the pass is complete in the flat from Johnson, and that is the Marcus polite gray.
He gets over the 50-yard line into Steven to Stephenson territory at about the 40.
Hardline a game of 23.
No drop.
Just plant your foot and throw to the sideline, get a nice block there by Donald Clark and polite Bray easily, setting himself apart as the best player on the football field here in the early going.
Remember he was the one that just had the touchdown run called back on the kickoff.
He gets right back in the action.
There are placed at the Stephenson 49 MLK.
Sideline looking a little tired that is for light gray.
First of Ten, bad, snap Johnson.
Lucky to fall on it and retrieves it all the way back to the MLK 40-yard line and that almost was disaster, tray, yes, senior defensive end, number 44, Stevenson.
Jonathan win was there to clean up the mess.
He has contain there, which is why he just freezes.
Is offered his job.
There is to keep the quarterback from getting outside.
As soon as the ball hits the turn, he pins his ears back.
Great job.
Like you said, Gil for Johnson to get back on that ball and let them live to fight another down.
Take a look at Jonah.
The wind is compared to Jermaine Cunningham, another great one.
And you see the interest right there?
Vanderbilt among them Johnson, looking for a receiver and it was over on the right side down on Clark, was in the neighborhood.
The ball Falls incomplete almost picked off.
Little bit too much juice on that throw by Munch wavy is Johnson.
He had two guys open in the middle of the field.
Not only was intended receiver number 84 Junior, Justin Alexander there.
But the tight end, Rashad Oglesby, he was wide open in the middle of the field as well.
Why do Peter can also also almost pick that off Johnson right now 4 of 7 for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Big play here in the early going for Stephenson on third down to try to stop the bleeding, a little bit.
Ferreted long at the 40, 36, 30 and Counting Receivers to come inside the Blitz and the barrel out screen on the pass was complete to it.
Look like it was over there.
Trey, it was Spencer Williams and the does not get enough for a first down.
No, Cory Alexander.
The defense have been number 56 comes in and Alters the throw of Johnson, just a little bit, but the linebackers weren't fooled At All.
By that past.
They had so far to go, Because of the messed up, snap, a couple plays before that that everybody was playing off coverage Gail, and just letting everything happen in front of them, your job right.
There is just don't give up a big play and they did their job.
Stephenson will get the ball back.
The light gray will pun as it stands at his own 30.
And back to receive.
Is Evan Jones has already house one here tonight?
I'm okay.
MLK calling a timeout.
Let's go downstairs to John Nelson again.
Good evening GT.
Let's start the tour of how we're going to.
Look at things.
We're going to look at specific regions, in Triple-A and double-a, and look at the power rankings and single.
I will start things off with the other story from the week.
Buford having to Forfeit, to, of their games because of an ineligible player.
So, the games that they had one, It's Banks County in West Hall arnelle losses.
And you see the impact right there at the top of the ladder right now.
Buford a little mad, they're up 28 to nothing against Fannin County.
That's early.
Second quarter.
North Hall is leading West Hall a surprising score.
Only 73 right now.
It looks like North Hall is going to lock up the region than buford's in a fight to even get a 2 seed out of this.
So it's going to be interesting to see what three seeds going to end up with Buford in the first round of the playoffs, a very mad Buford team right now guys.
Eyes.
Most definitely a scary situation to, in terms of out of playoff seeding, looks like, as we get close to Halloween, things are not even a little weird.
This time of year.
Get a look at coach Gard, trellis counterpart, robear Freeman, and polite Brave will punt again and his own 30 and he pulls it off the side of his foot.
It'll take an MLK bouncing it on nestled right there the 23.
So the Jaguars would take over the first in 10.
Rule 23, a 34-yard punt by polite for a the Stevenson resume tray and it's a good one, Gil record.
The last 10 years of 113 and 27-7 region titles.
Of course, MLK's defeated him in that category.
The last two seasons made the playoffs 11 straight years.
This is a huge 126 guys have signed in the SEC in the last 20 years and the 2009 team specifically Mark talked about it.
A little bit in the all access pass, 29 of 30 to seniors, signed college scholarships that's unheard of And therefore, current NFL players, you already talked about Jermaine Cunningham and we know a lot about Craig Lumpkin and of course, Reggie Baul who you alluded to earlier is now the offensive coordinator here, maybe the best quarterback they've had in school history or people as this game continues to go on and the girls again.
And that looks like our good friend, Evan Jones, and he's pushed ahead and he gets close to first down yardage.
Take a look at the Stevenson offense to start is right now.
Of the, you see Javon Barnes and Edmund banks on the outside.
I love it.
And the bank said it to Southern Miss a big, when he's about six foot eight.
And then you see the back fields, Kevin Austin, Dexter, Neil Taylor Henry.
But no, I'd Barnes the brother of Javon Barnes.
And both brothers here tonight, A Lot About To You by Regions Bank.
It's time to expect more second and 7 on a gain of 3 by Jones spinning.
Again, is Jones and taking it up to the 30 yard.
Hardline.
Let's take a look at the MLK defense.
They run out of a 353.
Love Keyshawn, parish, and Alan, Michael Harkness and you see the linebacker crew and a ponies on the outside, Jalen Bill Walker.
What are the goods?
And then you see, Wesley green, he's an outstanding kid.
Getting the whole lot of interest, Jeremy, Tyler and Isidor Davis.
The MLK defensive lineup brought to you by Regions Bank, it's time to expect more 408 early opening period 7 all here at hallford Stadium guilty.
Road, trail of Daniel and John Nelson Holmen.
The blitz is on, he gets open gets away and throws it, and it's incomplete was able to step out of pocket.
So it's three and out for Stephenson right now and it'll bring up a punting situation.
Yeah, Justin, Holman paid the price on that incompletion coming.
Free from his right side was the senior number 57, Jack aarthi Mac who actually leads the team in sacks with nine.
Even though Justin home and got rid of the ball, he paid a price on that one and a good defensive stop for MLK.
They'll get the ball back and that's not what Stephenson wants.
They want to try to minimize the number of possessions MLK has on offense tonight because we've already seen how Dynamic and quick striking they can be.
CT, gets off a blooming punch.
I'm taking my car and catch.
Karen open.
Shane Gibson over the 40 yard line inside Stevenson territory down to, about the 35.
Great special teams tackle made their by do on BEC because you saw, you saw Clark their Gill find another gear.
As you did polite Bray, although he got called back earlier.
That one had a chance to go to the house as well actually take that back.
That was Spencer Williams on that return.
Upon of 35 and return of 27 for Williams.
Yeah, we communicated a lot back and forth this week about what to expect in this game.
And I think the consensus from both of us was that there's more speed on this football field than any other field that we've covered so far.
The Seas back yelling Yankee teams flag on the back.
We've seen a lot of yellow here.
Nobody happened.
You, you you mentioned it earlier Gil.
Put a lot of flags so far this season Williams on the right of your screen.
And you see the play right there, I think they called polite.
Bray for a block in the back.
And again, you know, I guess going to sound like I'm going against the grain, but that was a legitimate block as well.
If that in fact is the one that they call the John's back on this top five straight ahead and lowered.
His head is Jamal said, he gets up close to the 40 yard line.
328 and counting down 7, all.
A touchdown from Johnson to polite, Bray and then an 85-yard.
Touchdown run.
Here's something you don't see.
Often Gil is Johnson lining up under Center.
Evan Jones, good call Tray at Smith again on the carry pushes, the pile like a Rugby scrum is still pushing it.
I love it.
45 close to Midfield about at the 47-yard line that's how rugby looks.
Yes, is number 33, Junior.
Jamal Smith getting a lot of work here in the first quarter.
Now Normally, their go-to guy, obviously, their coaching staff has seen something on the defensive formation specifically, on the front for for Stephenson.
That makes them think that there's something there to be had so they keep giving it to the big guy.
And again they're going to come out in the same formation with Johnson under Center and only two wide receivers.
Remember, typically they have four wide in one back.
Now, Bill Ronald game and I'm 17.
Excuse me.
Gil.
That's the strong safety number 18.
Ronald peterkin did.
The only thing you can do when you got a 230-pound or barreling down on you go.
Low.
Nice tackle here by Peter, caen the strong safety.
That's exactly what you have to do against a guy with a head of steam like that for right now.
The junior, Jamal Smith pain.
Major dividends for what's normally a very Octane offense there except among those are the stuff to give again.
Miss Smith, it goes over left, tackle.
I've pushes his way close to the 35 yard line at depends on the spot to 22 and Counting Jamal Smith.
Checking out of the game here.
Six carries 46 yards, he only came in with 273, rushing yards on the entire season and despite Smith coming out they keep in the same formation.
The pitch and turning a corner wide but is met right there and that Spencer Williams, and a slew of Stephenson Defenders are there to bring them down, among those Rashad pain, the leader on that defense, bringing them in also over there.
So Ryan George too.
Martin Luther King pulling a page out of the Stevenson Playbook and trying to eat some clock and still drive down the football field right now, the running game working, and for the first time, and I believe four, five snaps, you'll see Johnson line up in the shotgun but still Gil.
A to tighten formation with only two, guys lined up out wide.
Both of the top top of your screen and Johnson is lookin in this scene.
He finds a receiver that looks like it's Clark and he's close to the 20 yard line and that's a first And again, a 14, they lined up cluck right in the slot and Johnson was able to find him there, that's a great play call out of that formation because you're getting the Stevenson secondary and linebacking Corps cheating up with every Run play.
And then you go to the passing game.
Something out in space, to create a seam Clark.
We've already seen his speed on display so far tonight, you did a great job.
Picking up the first down Cameron, Glenn, they stumble and fall, and the ball is picked off and grab.
That's right, George and he will.
we thought our house this 20 15, 10 5 touchdown, we've got a convoy wasn't touchdown Stevenson You know there's only 11 guys on defense and seven of them just ushered Ryan George into the end zone.
There was not a white jersey with Insight a miscue in the backfield where mon quite obvious Johnson and Spencer Williams, run into each other the ball squirts out and the defensive tackle, Ryan George you had penetration picked it up with a couple guys chasing and he was gone leading.
The Convoy was Paris.
Alexander 75 yards, the touchdown replay.
Bye.
Tcsg learn more earn more Ryan, George the senior two hundred and fifty fifty pounds off to turn over 75 yards to the, you think he'd be happy, but he's got a Grimace on his face because you just ran for 75 yards has got to go get something to drink and some oxygen CD on for the extra point and it is clear in your living room.
It is perfect.
Miscommunication in the backfield touchdown replay, drop you by tcsg, they run into each other and Ryan George had penetration there otherwise that ball just goes down on the ground.
It doesn't touch the ground here.
And look at all those jerseys seven of them to be exact ushering George into the endzone.
Defensive touchdowns can spark a team and create momentum like no other play besides maybe a kickoff return and we already saw the change of Fortune kickoff, return called back for MLK.
Next big play in the game is Stevenson.
This is a heavyweight battle, right?
Now, that's Trey said, the touchdown replay brought to you by our good friends at tcsg learned.
We got to look at the big fellow Ryan, George all six foot two.
250 like I said, senior Straight Ahead Homecoming on a 14-7, with 44, ticks, here in the opening quarter at hallford, stadium.
Stephenson at MLK.
Lots on the line in this region.
6 is treatment strategist.
Said Donnybrook battle Deluxe.
You call it whatever fill-in-the-blank heavyweight Showdown so much on the line for MLK Gill because I'm not saying they haven't played anybody there more than deserving of their number two ranking but they have quite a gauntlet coming up after this football game and play arguably the three best teams in the region besides themselves.
Stephenson Tucker and Miller Grove in back-to-back.
Back weeks, this is a gauntlet.
They would really like to set the tone by winning this football game but Stevenson, although a disappointing loss against Miller drove last week, they still have aspirations to win this region Gill.
And if they win this football game and somebody's jumps up, maybe even MLK and defeats Miller.
Grove Stevenson can still take this region Championship home and Miller Grove with a big game going on with Tucker.
Right now, we'll go downstairs a little bit later and get Jon Nelson.
They give us an update on that game, it's going on.
So no one's here.
Raven 658 here tonight.
Line, and that look like it was Isadora.
Davis close to the 20 downstairs, again, to the man, the myth and the legend, John Nelson, Kelly the man who has the GPB Sports app.
That's how he's giving you updates, ask and you shall receive Gil scoreless early on to answer your question with another big game in region, 6, 5 a some Gwinnett County spores in 6A quickly, South Gwinnett and Archer will catch up with the comments in a couple of weeks.
Game is tied at 14 in the second quarter.
Winner of that game, probably is going to make the postseason as a three or a four seat Norcross.
Leading Peachtree, Ridge 13-nothing.
Brookwood with seven on the board against Burke more child.
When Dacula are scoreless, Parkview leading, Central Gwinnett 7, I think Camden County and region 16a solidifying their spot leading, 20 18 over Brunswick backups are John, thank you MLK.
14-7 a high snap of Johnson is over to do.
Do something with it and he gets it and he is able to make the pitch at Spencer Williams.
He's over Midfield into Stevenson territory at the 49, a gain of 33.
Let's take a look at the replay tray.
There's a flag somewhere in here that you don't see on your screen, but let's look at the play for what it is right now.
Look at the speed of Williams, we've seen him in the kicking game, in the passing game, and in the running game, a very versatile player, but they're going to call this back.
We'll wait and see what the officials official call was.
Again Gil.
A lot of penalties, I have not agreed with all of them but I am very far away from the action right now.
So we have to take the rest at their word and MLK, committed an infraction.
There we'll find out shortly what it was these.
So robear Freeman writing down and he's still riding down exactly what happened because I'm sure that's going to be discussed at halftime will, if they will await the word on the infraction.
Let's listen in, 10-yard penalty still first down.
And of course, Road, bear Freeman.
Not a happy man right now is yelling at his offense right now and telling them.
Listen guys, you got to get it together.
Yeah this is following the fumble that led to the touchdown.
He's an unhappy camper in.
The thing is they get to meet Lee.
Go out and try to implement what he was yelling at them about because they get the ball right back and that's not the way to do it right there, boy.
Oh boy, has Stevenson taking momentum of this football, game it in.
Stop and Johnson was for Marty and he came untouched just right through till they're trying to set up some kind of short screen pass or something over the middle and that's why they let Cromartie come free, but he just came into Quick big-time sack and big-time momentum.
Right now to in the first quarter, I'll also 12 so second and long facing MLK we end what has been an outstanding first?
First quarter with the score Stephenson 14.
MLK 7.

And, of course, we'll go downstairs to check in with our John Nelson and have scores and updates and a whole lot more.
Third and long.
MLK failed to negotiate on the second down and facing third and long and even yet long as Johnson and his receiver.
And he finds his receiver there and that is complete and Donald Clark bail him out big-time tray enough for the first step, and then some fully Cowgill on the second downplay.
We didn't see it while you were doing your read about our game next week, but it was an incomplete pass out in the right flat terrain are Dwight.
It was a huge Huge down and distance third and twenty six to be exact.
You see what he sees and you know what, I see some phenomenal arm strength and what we saw was a gain of 38 First and Ten at the 44, and only Edge and still moving and driving into Stevenson territory.
Close to the 40 yard line is radar.
Dwight Raynard white gilliguy that's missed a few weeks been banged up a lot this season.
I was just talking about the incomplete pass to him, just one of many weapons that MLK has at their disposal as they try to regain momentum in this football game that passed a Donald Clark.
That sure got him started on the right foot Jared, Tucker went on a ride with mr. Reynard white First and Ten at the Stephenson 42.
High snap again, but Johnson able to keep it and put it in play against the Smith.
And Smith has turned back and push back a loss of a few at about the 45-yard line.
That was the will linebacker.
You just saw number 24, senior dermis Jameson, 62, 220 pounds.
He wasn't fooled on that.
Because so far in this game, when Jamal Smith comes in number 33 and he lines up in the backfield in lieu of Mr. Williams or Raynard white.
He's gotten the ball almost every time and the Stephenson defense knew that now, they're putting MLK and unfavorable down in distance, but they're able to convert because of their passion.
Jim Johnson with a shotgun, looking down the right side and has a receiver there, but it falls incomplete and receiver out.
There was Emilio, shoot me, he's the kid.
Who is getting a lot of interest?
That Junior possession guy among the school's, looking at him, the University of Michigan.
And Malik Rick's.
Banged up on the sideline, and he is a special team, perform a great story for Malik.
And, of course, his grandmother Dorothy suffering with one foma, breast cancer.
Father, Wayne and Malik was also anger, you box, of betray his grandmother Dorothy.
First opportunity to see her grandson here tonight and what the wonderful word from the Georgia cancer, specialist in helping it's Rick's and her situation right now, and of course, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Yeah, and Rick's of guy that coach gartrell, just absolutely loves.
He's listed on the depth chart as a backup, middle linebacker, but he says come next year, he will be undoubtedly the leader of this defense and right now he's their best player on special teams and you can see how broken up.
He is about not being in the game right now.
Is they treat some sort of left arm injury, but he's very broken up to not be out there and every high school football team has a guy like this.
Get And we've seen it in every school that we've gone to a guy that may not start at any one position.
But plays in backs up, they said, Forrester scuse me coach.
Gartrell said, Rick's could play.
Could start at all.
Three of our linebackers positions today, if we wanted him to, that's how valuable an asset he is for this game.
And we talked to Coach, Carr, 12 a wonderful young man.
Are you see right there being worked on by the medical stuff, you see it?
Looking good coach Rel and talked about my grandmother and how he wanted to play well for her here tonight.
Speaking of the young, Man, the lyrics and his dad, Wayne one of about nine, dad's train, stay and sit on the steps outside, the practice field on the Stevenson campus and you see Stone Mountain in the background.
And the dads are sitting there with a beautiful view, watching their kids playing.
It's a great, great site.
Yeah, the biggest compliment perhaps is to have all your coach say that.
If you haven't said, if I had a son, I'd want them to be exactly.
Like me feel so that all the glitches on and they get to Johnson real quick and coming on the The making the tackle at nights tackle was day Lauren.
The Sam linebacker outstanding play Dale Warren like he got shot out of the cannon goes load knows if he gets in a footrace with Johnson, he won't likely be able to get him.
So he leaves his feet and gets just enough of that left leg to bring him down big-time sack by Stephenson Gil.
They're getting it done on both sides of the ball but check out this discrepancy right as of right now, Stephenson is only ran four plays on offense and leads this game 6:46 MLK.
Okay, approaching 30 plays on offense, already straight McDaniel.
That's why we having in a booth.
Wow 9:38.
Okay.
Sunset facing a fourth and long.
Just want to say, Welcome to our coverage here tonight.
GPB football Fridays in Georgia and they're taking Malik.
Rick's off the field, being wheeled out on a stretcher.
Number 32, and of course, like I said, playing this game here tonight.
You see the crowd here homecoming crowd possible.
We've been told possible concussion and the GHSA tray has a lot of rules pertaining than absolutely should caution.
Sort the young man.
And of course, like I said, Very emotional night for him.
The pun is going to take an MLK bouncing roll and Nestle about the 10 upon of 39 yards from for polite gray.
So Stephenson with a, 14-7 lead will take over with 927 here at a second quarter Joanne.
The GPB sports team as we compete in the third annual chili, cook-off at Thompson Memorial Park tomorrow 131 misery and will be competing against the best professional.
And amateur Cooks in the area has come out before, the weather gets chilly and vote for Archuleta.
We want to meet you, that's tomorrow 123 and Roswell.
And for more on the event, like us on our GPB Sports on our Facebook page and we want you to be in the know, John Nelson, Mark Harmon and mwah.
Yours Truly will be out there to meet and greet.
You will see you mañana.
Join us and Parker Wallace had that tasty dish that Mark was sampling.
I thought he needed some water to it.
He looked like, you know, she looked up and I even when he went back a sit-down, I thought I saw that I water in a little bit, it must have been something spicy in the house.
So the steam coming out the top of his head.
You know, how does he get all the luck in getting all the food?
That's what I want to find out because, you know, that's why we call them Charmin.
Charmin Charmin, Mark Jarman.
We're hungry down here.
Hungry upstairs?
I know you guys are.
How does he get all the luck was Parker still here.
I can tell her to bring a dish tickets at halftime.
We might see far curling my keeper here until halftime.
How about that?
She might have to make a couple more pots and you're not kidding.
Nellie, you work on it, scores will get downtown little bit later, 2nd at 2nd and 10 at the 10 Stephenson trailing by 7 and in a hole and squirming and moving forward, we have a flag on the play that was Jones getting close to the 15 yard line.
And we talked about the play calling for Stephenson here tonight, the former Georgia Tech, Yellow Jacket and a Ramblin wreck Reggie Bowl.
You know, we talked about there being no secrets to what MLK wanted to do on offense, which is to pass the ball in a Ford wide receiver formation, on the flip side of that Stevenson's in a similar boat.
It's no secret what they want to do, and that's run the ball right now.
Are you saying MLK defense the linebacker?
Specifically are cheating up a little bit.
Trying to defend what that guy is throwing at him, right?
There you see, Roger Stevenson Alum, and I'll tell you what, Ron gartrell tray is.
Turn the keys over to that gentleman.
He's an up-and-comer, folks.
His quote was, he's got free rein got free rein and he runs practice.
I can tell you firsthand and he has the same tenacity.
But he had planned for Chan, Gailey Frankie told me.
Chan Gailey and Mike Martz are, is to influences when it comes to play calling.
Well, let's talk about that for a second.
Traditionally Stevenson's been a wing-t football team, but under Reggie balls tutelage, they have now moved to a pro-style offense and of course, the bowl family very much involved in Stevenson.
His daddy, are you seeing right?
There's a strength and conditioning coach.
In fact, you're a, every Wednesday night, Daddy takes a team.
They go to CiCi's Pizza and I would throw him out.
See what this team can do to a Cici's Pizza are don't have that little extra staff there at CC's there.
There's daddy and son in the harem.
Daddy, don't take no stuff.
No.
And and Senior Reggie Baul senior, it's our excuse me, coach gartrell, his son was a wide receiver for Reggie ball, back in 2002, in my opinion the best Stevenson team ever and of course you're talking about TJ gartrell is now an investment banker and Metro Atlanta this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. a new show in Georgia traveler David celski.
You gotta taste is David in the opening show and of course our pregame Jump and a crew.
Find Noah's Ark and Locust Grove, the dorm town and the ultimate dirt bike.
Playground Oakland Cemetery for some spooky tunes, right before Halloween, all that, and more catch a new episode.
This Sunday, The Prompt have 7:00.
The Traveler team is looking forward to it and we're looking forward to you joining us here on the great GPB.
Second headlong for Stephenson in a hole right now, but have a 14-7 lead.
You see the Man in Motion?
And Holmen it is and turning on the edge, it gets passively to and squirting his way close to the 10 yard line is Washington.
That's what I was talking about Gil with the defensive lineman in the linebackers.
You see?
The offensive line, block down to the right?
That's a dead giveaway that they're running the ball.
To the right hand side defensive left side and they do a great job of pursuing down the line of scrimmage and a nice tackle.
They are made by the defensive end Rd key.
Just a sophomore, six foot six 215 pounds of interest from UGA Arkansas.
This is a guy who, as a sophomore already has, nearly seven sacks and 13.
Tackles for loss, you saw why right there does a great job getting down the line of scrimmage and being in the right spot in Washington on the carry and of course, his daddy played for Ron gartrell daddy, Troy back in the day.
Hear that train McDaniel, huh?
Vacuuming?
The day.
So don't bring up a punting situation, fourth and long for Stephenson.
So, after real quick, start Gil, both defense is of really tightened up well here.
So CD will punt at about possibly about a yard deep.
And this looks like it's going to be a short field.
If it's negotiated by Mo K CD gets it off high end over end front backtracking and taking it and putting on a great shoe string tackle right there.
40-yard punt by City downstairs to John Nelson Ellie.
All right guys next step on the trip around the state as region.
Six Triple A one-game happened last night with Tim MacFarlane's Blessed Trinity.
He tightens, they ended up with another win.
They are now at the top of the ladder at seven and one McNair.
Now 2014, we saw st. Pius earlier in the year, we know how tough a team they are.
So it's looking like VT and Pious at the top of six, AAA, as the way things are shaping up there.
Also further on down in the middle, part of the state, let's take a look at some five, a stuff Northside Warner Robins leading Greenbrier 35-nothing at the break next week.
It's that big rivalry game with Warner Robins.
ER leading Grovetown 14-7 first quarter back upstairs.
Jag John, thank you.
And of course st. Pius playing Woodward.
To me tonight, 6:44 and the second quarter, as we approach half time.
We saw them dismantle, love it earlier in the season, yes, we did.
Good standards, got a good program over there and it was on us First and Ten at the 47.
That's Johnson Scrambler.
He's still on his feet and he has wrestled down and there's a fumble.
The ball is loose.
And MLK were covered it.
So they will retain possession.
Take a look at the replay tray.
Nice tackle there, by number 24, the will linebacker senior, dermis Jameson in Pursuit.
Comes up only gets Jersey and obviously, that was not a fumble, the ground caused it.
So the right call there by the officials and Stevenson's got MLK where they want them Gil.
A tackle for loss 41-yard as some setup and second long, And they spread the field out again with four wide second and 11.
And as this tray said is spread look at the 48 of Stevens to the lions at MLK trailing, in this football game and the play clock running down and they got it off.
I'm the quick moving a quick hole and taking it Forward was Williams and it gets it close to the 35 yard line.
A lot of confusion in the backfield pre-snap on what side of Johnson, that Williams was supposed to line up on, you could have even called a false start there on number 53, which was Cornelius.
Jones, remember the last time they had a miscue like that in the backfield Williams and Johnson collided and it was Ryan.
George picking the ball up in the air and Sprint 75 yards for a defensive touchdown.
Right now, that's the difference in the football game, they got to get things sorted out in the backfield for the Lions offense, third and short, and getting the first down was Williams down to about 32-yard line.
You see Williams is numbers on the night.
Right now, eight carries for 30 yards.
He's been pretty dependable.
And that'll be a line first down.
The offensive line is known for their pass blocking in this high-octane offense but they've done a really good job, run blocking specifically the center and Plum then bouncing out of the shotgun steps up, still with the football over the 30 down over the 25, close to the 20 yard line.
A gain of 13 Coach Freeman, really jumping around on the sidelines.
Very excited about that.
We talked about on Cuevas Johnson not being known as a runner.
He twice.
Now tonight he's look downfield, not seen what he wanted and rather than risk throwing it into coverage.
He's pulled it down and he picked up ten yards right there.
He's getting first downs.
Huge discrepancy in the first down and age, that's smoke still with the football, and it gets over the 15 down to around the 10.
Jamal Smith look like a you know I don't want to get out of control here but watch him carry the ball with one hand out beside his body.
Looks like Walter Payton right there, carrying the football.
Is he Lumbers out of bounds, he's a tuck that ball away, but a nice Tough Run.
One of many we've seen so far here in the first half by the junior Jamel Smith.
Peter King on the stop for Stephenson.
The lions in the red zone right now, second and short at the Stevenson.
14, play fake Johnson home run in the end zone back.
There, jump ball, incomplete.
Intended receiver was polite Brave, and nobody was going to come down in bounds with that one because he just put a little bit too much on it, but if I'm not mistaken, that's the first time they've ran actual play action.
And I like the play call here, because as I mentioned earlier in this drive, when Jamal Smith's in the game, he's normally getting the football.
So I like the play call, but it was great coverage by number for junior Jared Tucker.
For the Stephenson Jaguars.
Third and goal at the 14th and sweeping around at Smith.
He smells The End Zone.
Does he get in?
If he's just a shade Shore, he doesn't.
He's down at about the one inch line, a gain of 13.
Demarcus polite gray at the, his wide receiver position is down field blocking, and although he doesn't really get a good block on Tucker, he forces Jamal Smith to make a decision right or left.
He goes inside and Tucker recovers.
Well to save a touchdown, but now they come out in a true.
I formation for the First time tonight, Gil Smith Smith dot in the eye nine, carries 61 yards and going in for the touchdown ESS Johnson, touchdown MLK.
359 in the second quarter.
That was set up by the great run by Smith down to the 1 inch line and Johnson called his own number on the sneak.
On for the extra point is Yannick crop that just barely got over treasure.
But you know what, a kick extra point.
Extra point is an extra point.
So, with the equalizer right now, we're knotted up at 14 in the second quarter MLK and Stevenson four minutes to go until halftime.
We'll be right back.
You, we know you.
we know, you have to rise early and work late with not enough sleep in between, How you sometimes need to get over to that exit?
Like right now and how things aren't just about you anymore.
Introducing, the all-new smart, sensing Honda Accord, it starts with you.
I'm going back back here in Clarkston 14:14 courtesy of the snake by Johnson.
The scoring Drive brought to you by our good friends at tcsg learn more.
Earn more, a blaze, 47 yards, the elapsed time tray have 244 take us through the drivetrain, like Daniel Gil.
They were behind on the down and distance in a couple of situations, but they got where they wanted to go, mainly in the ground game.
First, it was Spencer Williams and then it was Jamal Smith and then a rare, rushing TouchDown for back pain, point of his Johnson, Gilliam, very surprised.
So far tonight at how effective MLK has been not through the air like Expected, although there are paying dividends in the passing game, but their running game is really surprising about to receive Jaguars and Stephenson, Evan Jones.
I see ladler back here and also Jamal Daniels.
I'm getting over the 25 yard line and push to about the 27.
And that's where Stephenson will take over First and Ten.
Let's take a look at the lines resume truck.
They haven't been around longer lonely since 2001 but it remarkable.
100 wins already three region titles.
Including, as we mentioned earlier back-to-back, a win.
Tonight could really go a long way and securing their third in a row playoffs nine.
Out of ten years.
Reach the state's second round eight times.
Best season was 12 and 18.
Done that twice.
And this is a great stat to Gil 43.
All State players in the last 10 years.
Tells you what kind of talent they have over there at MLK and a lot of that that goes back you see one of the guys who comes over and says done a nice job robear framing but it goes back to the days of Corey Jarvis was over there and did a great job with that program since moved on Advanced of all the Jaguars up to about the 25 yard line and taking it at look like Cromartie off the screen from just in Holmen.
Did you know Justin Holman is a certified nurse.
Huh?
Why was you were telling me about that before the game?
We've had some versatile guys that we've covered guys that have kicked and punted and played offense and play defense.
This is the first guy we have.
Who can actually handled injured teammates on the sidelines in between.
I said of course, the mall Justin I should say just in Holmen.
Dustin, almond is the quarterback for Stephenson.
I asked coach gartrell is the Midwife to Midwife.
You haven't even one second and 13 at the 24 out of the shotgun.
It's still with the football, holding it out.
Like a loaf of bread is Holman.
He advances it over 225 up to about the 26.
Nice Tough Run.
They're very tough run, but my nose in a neighborhood was Isadora.
Davis, 59 170-pound seeing, Which Way watch the relentlessness of the MLK defense nystagmus here.
When you get a wide shot, their guys are flowing to the football, just like their defensive coaches, teach him.
I want to Levin.
Eyes around the football, and they are relentlessly doing that.
This is a really talented bunch of group of talent for bunch of guys, but they really operate.
Well, as a team Jack aarthi Mac, among those.
Also on the tackle, you see the interest he's committed to Louisville coach, strong and has done an outstanding job in the Big East.
With that program, there's a lot of rumors about him on the offseason up, top is home.
And then the pass was caught, but knocked out of bounds and it falls incomplete intended.
Receiver out there was Dexter Neil up at about the 40 yard, line of MLK and that'll be three and out.
You know, that might be one of the most beautiful passes.
I've seen, he puts it right on the outside shoulder of Neal where only, he can catch it with a great defensive play.
There by the cornerback for MLK and it forces another punting situation.
So we saw some explosiveness some fireworks here in the early going.
But right now it's been a defensive battle for most of the second quarter.
So CD will punish his own 15 high and over and kick taken by Bray on-the-fly polite.
Boy turns eh, stumbles and is brought down at about the MLK 43-yard line And we'll take over from there Nelly, hello again.
Hello.
I Feel Like Larry.
Keep getting it from Larry King there for a second.
Let's go to Region 3 AAA quickly, two of the best teams in the state squaring off tonight, top 5, and AAA Washington county is leading Thomson, 14-7 at the break.
If the Bulldogs win tonight at the house of paint, it's their 600th.
Win as a program Wilcox county is surprising Swainsboro right now.
22 nothing second quarter to get more bonus points when it comes to single a and all those power rankings.
That we talked about a rare out of region game, this late in the year for both of those teams but Thompson and Washington County right now, two guys that we need to pay attention to when it comes to the postseason back to you, absolute nonsense with silver and it's complete.
The number 23.
That's when L was Shumake, he's a possession guy, it gets the first down while we're at it.
Trey, I want to say a lot of thank yous because sharing shoemakers.
The Mellows mother drives a bus.
Us from LK and also works in the administrative office over there.
And also want to say hello to to me, Alison, Susan Edwards, Angela, Martin lethargic room and Kevin Tucker.
All those people made my visit over the MLK lot of phony, it's like a very, very good 15 yards.
So after the back completed pass to shoemaking, let's talk about Shoemaker second while they mark off the penalty.
He plays maybe second or third fiddle is Bars on the wide receiver.
Pecking order on this team, but even he's going to commit to play football at the next level.
He's got interest from duke Michigan, Oklahoma State.
Wow, this is a very talented wide.
Receiver core may be the most talented that we've seen this year by far and a very capable quarterback.
Throwing the rock to look at your my keys to the near side.
Out of the shotgun for a while Johnson over the middle finds his receiver.
That's Clark that takes a close to the Stephenson 40-yard line.
And he's pushed back and among those in the neighborhood, making the stop for the Stephenson Jaguars.
Ali Groves was there, that'll make it second and eight and a hurry up Johnson out of the shotgun.
Lots of wall has a receiver on the right flat and it is complete.
That is polite gray.
Is he in bounce?
Yes, he is Trey.
Nice throw, nice catch and a reaction from the MLK crowd, again of 33 and a first down in there.
In the Red Zone.
This is what we call Best on best Guild.
Great job by Mont Cuevas Johnson to look off the safety.
He looks first left comes back right and you got Corner Jared Tucker going up against a Marcus polite, Bray, that's their best corner against MLK's.
Best wide receiver perfectly thrown ball and a nice tight rope back on the sideline by polite Bray Tucker beaten on the play and that's First and Ten At the 13 under a minute to go.
Forty two tix to go.
You see the timeouts for each coach in their pocket Freeman with to Johnson curling.
In the end zone has a receiver there and just Out Of Reach for polite.
Bray who had the corner beaten and he was in the end zone tray.
That was 6.
That was an easy six.
But Johnson just got a little bit too carried away in the pocket.
This is in your living room.
All done.
And although polite breas fast.
He not quite That's enough to come all the way across the formation and make that catch even had he made it as momentum would have carried him out of bounds.
And after that play, what you couldn't see was a couple offensive lineman coming over in patent Johnson, on the helmet and saying, you'll get them next time because they all knew they missed a big-time opportunity to score right there second and goal at the 13:36 sticks to go before half-time.
Tied up at 14.
Out of the shotgun is Johnson Under Pressure rolls, right?
Still on his feet flags on the play, he looks for the pylon.
Does he get in?
He has end but this is going to come back.
Folks, a flag on the play.
Just a reminder coming up at half-time, the marching bands, the rent check, are You Smarter, John's George and a whole lot more with charm and Marky Mark Harmon?
And his Funky Bunch Joshua outlawed pleading his case to the officials.
To no avail.
You see a very, very disappointed, Rober Freeman right there because now Gil.
Uh-huh.
You just miss a sure thing.
Touchdown.
You come back on 2nd and 10.
You get all the way down and they actually Mark that a touchdown by want.
Cuevas Johnson would have been his second rushing touchdown of the game because remember, he just scored the one yard line a few minutes ago, and now they come all the way back and they've shot themselves in the foot and get, oh, I never remember a football season where I've seen more Is on the field in this season.
It seems like every game that we do.
Both teams are plagued by penalty yardage.
We'll see how much this comes back to haunt MLK because I mentioned at the top, they're not real strong in the kicking game.
So they're going to have to get a whole lot closer.
If they're even to attempt a field goal, I'm talking about Yannick pray.
And Johnson again look at along, has a receiver that's grow and he's in the end zone for a touchdown and I don't see a yellow hanky anywhere 26 yards at the end of the first half.
Are you kidding me?
Trey McDaniel and you get an excessive celebration flag as well.
One thing that we didn't notice in all the hoopla was that robear Freeman didn't stop the clock.
This was going to be the last play of the half had they not scored you.
I said why did they do that?
How come they didn't try to stop the clock somehow on third down and least let you run two or three plays polite?
Bray in my Cuevas Johnson just bailed out the Lions big time by getting In The End Zone on that play.
That's gonna be the last play of the half, no matter what Jerry, Tucker beating on the plane.
Of course, Johnson getting interest from Harvard Princeton Yale and Mercer, and polite gray has been outstanding here tonight for the touchdown of 26 years.
Guards and with no time on the clock and they will be an extra point opportunity to make it a 21-14 lead, but right now, it stands at 64 MLK and that's what rope are Freeman.
Will take in the locker room, head coach.
And of course, it conclusion of this first half, we're going to go downstairs to talk to along with John Nelson, as tray.
Just pointed out, the excessive celebration.
at the end of the first half, And you see coming up at the half the chili cook-off, are You Smarter the principal interviews and the Stevenson a marching band?
How about that tray?
Huh?
They're going to put on a show for us, I long extra point opportunity.
24-yard extra point to be exact because of the excessive celebration.
Brianna cry.
So now MLK takes a timeout.
Why they didn't take a timeout to stop the clock before that touchdown play?
I'll never know.
But you know what?
It doesn't matter, because you happened to Marcus polite.
Bray, who scored two touchdowns in the passing game?
In ran back a kick, that was that was brought back, he's the best player on the field right now.
And Gil, we already talked at the top about this being the most talented group of two teams that we've seen polite Bray right now, Head and Shoulders above every single one out of not.
Is a great route.
Runner.
We've been told from the sidelines at MLK will attempt a two-point conversion, but you take possibly a two-point conversion.
Talk about a confidence in your kicking game or lack of well lack of in the Yannick Yannick cray, the 61 Junior has kicked two field goals this season Gil, but his long of the season was 27 yards But they allowed right now you'd have what would amount to a 26-yard extra point, right?
So this is Right On The Fringe of his of his range and they're going to go ahead and try to get the single point here and tie it up.
Excuse me, get that point because they know a seven-point lead is so much better than a six-point lead.
Especially in a back and forth affair with a quality opponent like Stevenson MLK.
Looking to make it 21-14.
The kick is up, and it is good along extra point.
Number 92.
You gonna cry?
That's a no doubter.
And he's happy as he is.
I see you together.
Do I could do that.
That's right.
So 2004 look at robear Freeman, with a smile, as wide rare, a rare spawn, as wide as the Chattahoochee River here tonight and as soon as he finishes writing down and taking notes, we're gonna join him and John Nelson.
Let's go downstairs to John Nelson standing by, with the aforementioned, or robear Freeman.
Gentlemen, it's all yours.
Let's talk about the end of the half, what happened with the clock?
And then you get the point, man.
I know we didn't even know that the clock has started.
So should we were able to get the playoff at the end of the day and a half DJ polite scoring a touchdown?
Then we got a penalty from excessive celebration so you know, we just got to clean up this first half.
First of all, you know, we had a few penalties that, you know, stop the couple of big plays, you know.
So Stevenson playing hard.
We knew that was going to come out and play tough, but But, you know, the second half, you know, we got to turn it on and just play some football.
All right, let's get out of the way the pants.
Congratulations on the first half.
Let's enter the best seat in the house and Mark Harmon before we get run over John.
Thanks very much.
We are at halftime.
It's homecoming at the MLK Stephenson game.
Homecoming for Stephenson will show you the festivities coming up.

Where next week, it's north side.
Warner Robins.
And really, that's all that needs to be said.
Ready, set, go.
It's red and blue.
It just blows my mind to see how many people can be at a football game.
It's demons and Eagles.
Biggest day of the year, is the me, you know, that's the one that I get to go out there and hit them.
It's Warner Robins while in Houston County has nothing to do with Houston County.
We don't necessarily like them and they don't necessarily like us, but that's what it's, you know, on the football field.
That's how it's supposed to be.
You know, I have some good friends at coach over there and, you know, other than that week, you know, we're pretty cordial.
Each other.
And it's north side and that alone.
Thanks, don't worry about the hyphen in the city name to follow.
He'll talk about the mayor's from Warner Robins.
The police Chiefs from Northside, I mean, it's going to carry you through, you know, the only thing they probably don't put it on the gravestone, you know, which school you went to it carries.
You write all the way up to that point in life, that's for sure.
It's a series that started in 1964 dominated early by Warner Robins but Northside has won nine of the last 11 emotions, run High.
I mean, it's like so many people watching the game.
You don't want to mess up.
I mean it's a tradition and the winner gets 364 days to brag all over again.
The north side where I reside.
It's something I've been a part of since my childhood and it's a huge driver in town.
It's you know, you get bragging rights for the year and if you're seeing your bike rack, right?

Mike Davis, Mark is not kidding.
You know, those rivalries, they do last a year or longer, don't they 368 days a year and both teams are winning tonight.

Got to me today and I got lost a little bit but now the two guys who have it all together, I'm still jealous.
This great second half of this game, Gill and Trey, take it away.
All right, gentlemen, thank you.
Halftime festivities are wrapping up here.
Clarkson, our score MLK.
One and Stephenson.
14 will take a look at first half.
Highlights in the second half, coming your way on the great GPB.
After these very important messages you, we know you we know, you have to rise early and work late with not enough sleep in between, How you sometimes need to get over to that exit?
Like right now and how things aren't just about you anymore.
Introducing, the all-new smart, sensing Honda Accord, it starts with you.
I kind of had the thought that I'm too big to exercise.
I knew if I could walk, I could do anything.
I have lost 101 pounds so far.
I went to my old high school track and I started out with just one lap.
I actually walked at lap and I have lost 105 pounds but did not use the gym.
You can definitely lose weight at home.
My name is Renee Ross, I'm 41 years old and I used to weigh 202 pounds.
Tuesday at 9:30 on GPB.
Alright, started the second half MLK up 21-14 downstairs to John Nelson, who's standing by with Jaguar head.
Coach Ron gartrell gentlemen.
Thank you, gilens talk to the coach and let's talk about what happened at the end of the half.
Well we gave up a touchdown there.
I look like I defensive back, may have slipped and fell down or misread the route but you know we can't win by making plays like that.
It's a gave them the momentum going into halftime.
So So we don't have to try to pull together and, you know, control the ball on offense and maybe cut down on the big place that they're having on offense.
All right, thanks for your time.
Good luck in the second half, back to, I'd send it back upstairs to Gil and Trey, Take it Away first half highlights.
All right, now, we thank you coach gartrell.
Thank you.
And of course, 2114 right now, the MLK lines going into the second half with a seven-point lead of the Jaguars of Stephenson guilty re along with Trey McDaniel.
Let's take a look at the first half.
Highlights big tray here.
You got the first touchdown of the game by Liferay who's really having a great showing so far tonight and then on the very first play from scrimmage on the night.
Evan Jones takes it 85 yards to the house and Knots the game back up seven apiece.
Here's the fumble return, which really gave Stevenson the momentum on a miscue in the back, put that back field.
That's Ryan, George lumbering, 250 pounds of him with six other teammates into the endzone.
The biggest play of the game by far.
But then you see Jamal Smith who's really been a bright spot in the back Field tonight for MLK, get him down to the 1-yard line.
They plunged in on a quarterback sneak after that, and then here's your man.
Again polite.
Bray on the last play of the half and that gave him a 21-14 lead.
Check out these stats passing yards Stevenson - to never really known for passing.
But look at this huge discrepancy in total yards 284 295 and then go all the way down here to offensive plays in time of possession, 40 plays by MLK.
10 by Stephenson.
You just heard coach?
Gartrell said, they want to control the ball on offense.
You're going to have to run more than ten plays to do that and you're going to need to possess the ball more than 5 minutes, 5 minutes and 20 seconds and a half.
A football head.
That should tell you what MLK is doing so far tonight.
Everything they touch on offense is turning to gold.
And as tree McDaniel, says, the tape don't lie.
We take a look right now and of course, the individual stats right now.
You're looking Smith, nine carries for 61 yards Williams, 84 30 Johnson, 11 of 17.
Teen tray, 192 yards, and two touchdowns and polite, Bray for catches, 96 yards and and of course, the two touchdowns and, you know, Clark two catches for 64 yards.
So they got it going on.
They got it going on the lines of MLK right now you doing 21 to 14 polite, break came in Gil, having already caught seven of the twelve touchdown passes.
That monkey, obvious Johnson, had thrown, he's got two more already, he is the bright spot of this football game.
Let me take you back to earlier in the game when he had a 95 yard kickoff return called back.
He could have three touchdowns on the night polite.
Bray, we talked about all these guys, 20 to be exact for these two schools, that will move on and play college football at the next level.
The best of the bunch of right now, as it stands at halftime is Demarcus polite, Bray and the library has done everything except sell popcorn.
I mean, number 10 is a very, very special player.
You take a look at him right there, and of course, drawing interest from a whole lot of places and wherever he goes train, McDaniel he is going to have have an impact because he surely has had an impact here in the first half.
You look at the receiving yards, of course, we talked about it up top for receptions, 96 yards in the two touchdowns and just a special special talent here on the football field here tonight, we will have the Stephenson Jaguars will take over and have possession.
First possession here in the second half of the start of it and to start the second half and of course trailing in this football game 21 2014, you get Shot of the homecoming crowd here at hallford, stadium, and, of course, trained McDaniel.
And I were here last week for the Tucker Southwest that we've been here the whole week.
So I just hung up the tent and hung out.
In fact, the commander Steve Graham brought us over water and cook and rations and all that rations.
You got that right and taking the football that's Jones Evans.
Joe Evan Jones advancing it over the 30-yard line, up to about the 31.
In the third quarter is underway here and you take a look Look at the quarterback for Stephenson just in Holmen the certified nurse six foot, four and 210 pounds of senior.
In fact, it worked out with him Reggie Baul this summer and Coach Carter ultimately, he has improved tremendously but the numbers don't reflect that right now.
He has a tough time tonight.
No one remember this entire offense is transitioning from a wing T to a pro-style because of Reggie balls influence.
And you mentioned it earlier by Mike Martz and Chan Gailey.
They've got the offensive lineman to pull that off.
But right now they have not been able to get into a rhythm on offense specifically in the ground game First and Ten at the 31 and they give it look like Evans, was it Evan Jones on the carry Straight Ahead.
Let me see the replay right there and sat how it's actually Tevin, Kevin, Austin, who have an Austin, we apologize.
Their numbers are very hard to read up here in the Press Box and Pritchett comes in and makes the tackle The gain of seven on AirPlay.
Make it bringing up second and three and we have a penalty faults.
You know that Delta G is going to be a false start on the full-back who lined up kind of in a slot position tight to the line of scrimmage and he flinched and got a penalty called on him.
And right now, Stephenson can't afford to have anything like that happen.
They have got to execute to Perfection ideally.
If you're coach gartrell right now, you'd like for your offense.
Take about six or seven minutes Drive the length of the field, 56 yards at a time and put it in the end zone, to tie this football game on to have an Austin, quite a story.
First time playing.
It was home school home school before he went to Stephenson right now and contributing right away and only Edge and moving around and spinning over the 35 up to about the 37th and another flag on the play.
In this field here, tonight has been really littered with yellows.
Well, we got peony remains second down, they'll get the penalty yardage right back from cromartie's false start, and I'll be right back where they started here and you can see what they're trying to do Gil and I agree with them.
Completely coach.
Gartrell kind of tipped his hand a little bit when he was talking to Nelly down on the sideline coming out here for the second half but they want to control the ball a little bit and translation, we want to run the football and their go-to guy in the running.
Game is Tevin Austin.
Although they hand it to a lot of guys capable guys, I might add because we talked about Evan Jones, He took it seven Yards to the house on his first Carry of the game as well, but they need to do something a little more methodical than that and keep that MLK offense on the sideline.
And stumbling forward and moving over the 45 yard line up to about the 46 yard line, Stephen Austin again with the up back being Cromartie, and that'll be a first down for Stephenson moving those change to it.
Gil, you talked about often being homeschooled.
Well, as a result of being homeschooled, he's never played organized football first year, ever?
Playing organized football and taking the reins from one of the good ones.
Mike Davis, who was just a stud in the backfield last year for Stephenson now.
Playing for the Cox at South Carolina.
Some big shoes to fill, and he's done it.
Well, so far just one loss on the season and that was last week, the Miller Grove, but they Trail here to McCarthy Macon.
The stop First and Ten at the 49 that is Austin.
Again.
And in on the stop was Keshawn Parish get a shot of the offensive coordinator at Stephenson Reggie Baul.
Yes.
That's the Reggie Baul who quarterback for Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech and turning to his alma mater work with the Stevenson program.
This spring was then GHSA certified.
Coach gartrell was telling me they worked at cart at it and me as a head coach and waiting.
The screen took her Marty, gets it over Midfield and to MLK territory and about at the 45-yard line.
Dre.
You know what this is gonna do is bring up a fourth down, situation forth and a long two yards from just about the 47 yard-line, not quite to the to the 48 yard line.
Interesting to see what they're going to do here.
Although they haven't flipped the down marker over to Fourth.
It still says third and it has on back-to-back plays.
So you might have a Misrepresentation on the down and distance by the Chain Gang.
But either way, great job stepping up on defense.
The defensive front for MLK.
Now, it's fourth down, and short and I still don't think they have it.
They try to run off tackle Dale, Warren.
It entered the football game and that was Austin.
And he was stopped, so that should bring up a punting situation.
Never really Stevenson, but you never know.
That's right.
I mean with the coach will Coach, gartrell, roll the dice here?
The free safety.
Number 15 for MLK.
Jeremy, Tyler came up from his free safety position in helped out here.
First time we've calls his name tonight.
He's got looks from Oklahoma State, NC State Arkansas and Vandy himself, and we haven't even called his name until a couple minutes into the third quarter, Big Time play right here.
For Stephenson and they're not going to roll the dice.
They ran behind the big left.
Tackle, Tyler Jones.
Possible, punting situation for Stephenson and they're going to poach it and it hit look like it him at MLK Defender.
But it is recovered by MLK.
Yeah, look at about the 18 yard line upon of 29.
Let's take a look at this train.
What did you see?
Well, I'm seeing it for the first time right here.
I wasn't sure if it actually hit an MLK pleasure grades that do not take a look at it, actually hit in, that's a live ball and polite braid did hit the, his ignore, Davis is a door Davis.
Yes, Hawaii, pray everywhere tonight.
Rushes up.
He was backing off to let the ball.
Roll does a great job recovering changing directions and preserving possession and it would happen right away for his team.
So the Lions Even here, 2114 take over First and Ten deep at their own 16th.
750 fast-moving, third quarter Here track.
Straight ahead on the give that's Williams.
It gets close to the 20 yard line and you see monthly fees Johnson is numbers.
11 of 17.
We talked about it as we went into the third quarter 192 yards and two touchdowns.
And of course like we said early drawing interest from a lot of Ivy League schools, including school, right here in the state of Georgia and Merchants and getting over the 30-yard line, up to about the 31, a first down for the lines of Of 11 at Spencer Williams.
That's a nice Tough Run by Williams.
A lot of yards.
After contact here, for the young man who is coach coach Freeman says his powerful and hard to tackle and he proves it right there.
Still surprised Gillett how effective MLK has been in running the football.
Would you can see by Johnson stats that they're throwing it when they want to as well?
Again, it's Williams running off tackle, getting into that second level of Stephenson Defenders on a stop.
So, Orion George over there.
He'll this is what you can do when you have the amount of talent that the Lions have on offense.
It looks like they've changed their style a little bit and they've gone to more of us Stephenson coach.
Gartrell style of offense, where they're if they're going to give him three or four yards per play, they're going to go ahead and run the football.
Because right now, if they can run this clock down, that actually benefits, then it looks like we have a clock malfunction and the officials recognized it and working on it right now.
The clock on your Your screen that you see at the top of your screen right now here on GPB, I believe is correct.
That is in kind of like a state of change right now in terms of trying to find out exactly how they're able to get it down and then we'll be able to work it down and right now we have a still or working with it and it continues to run Smith, all crackling still on his feet Midfield and then some into Stephenson territory at about the 49 and that big fella is, can Rollin and Rollin stumbling and bumbling a gain of 28 and another lion first down kill.
When you think of MLK players breaking out to the sideline and sprinting down the sideline tonight.
The last person on your mind was the junior, Jamal Smith 230 pounder has ran the ball with a lot of authority tonight.
Outrunning folks making them Miss and he darn near took that one to the house.
Another huge first down for MLK Okay, as they continue to dominate the time of possession and they continue to dominate the number of offensive plays but he's limping a little bit right now.
We'll check his status and see if he gets back in the game.
He's been the one of the most valuable assets they've had on offense right now.
10 carries and 89 yards, the screen from Johnson.
And the pass is complete down inside the 40-yard line.
That's Renard White.
On a nice bubble screen from Johnson balance.
So effective on offense for MLK tonight.
They have done a marvelous job of Distributing the ball to all of their Playmakers.
And right now, just take a look at the angling up by seven points.
They're really dominating this football game.
The Freshman ladler on the stop second and eight at the 39.
I snapped in space on moving, that's clock.
Still on his feet to the 10 but it looks like it's going to come back and that was a gain of 32 but we have yellow on the field all the way down about two yards away from the line of scrimmage line of scrimmage to the 39 flag sits at the 37-yard line on the far sideline.
Right.
Where Clark Broke Free and started streaking down the sideline Man Down.
And it looks like Donald Clark and first look at that tray cramps, the massage.
That could be a cramp or just a pulled hamstring.
Uh-huh.
That's a huge weapon for MLK.
Yes, it is aside from polite, Bray was all phone as no fastest guy on the football field.
Tonight, in my opinion, in the most dangerous in space has been that guy right there, Donald Clark.
And of course, a very quick, very fast.
Strong hands, great hands, getting interest from Southern and Alabama State.
They pick the flag up so the play will stand tray.
That was a 32-yard gain and making it first and goal at the 8th.
You called The Gila was a high snap great job out in the flat.
Well block screenplay.
But watch just the subtle moves by Clark right there.
Tucker didn't stand a chance and luckily number nine came in for Stephenson which is Khalil ladler the freshmen and did a great job of getting in front of Clark.
Otherwise that would have been another touchdown first and goal.
For the Lions at this Stevenson 8, handoff was the Williams and there's a fumble, but there was a flag also, on the play Stephenson says they've recovered it but I was a horse collar or face mask that was a preliminary call.
Stevenson says they have it.
The Jaguars are pointing, it's going their way, but it's going to be talked about by the officials here tonight.
Gil, we saw similar play last week, that was called a face mask, even though nobody touched face mask.
Let's see if this actually was a horse collar or a face mask or just a nice hard tackle.
That is a perfectly legal tackle.
I know moms out there.
Don't want to hear that.
That is a perfectly legal tackle.
That's football.
Ladies and gentlemen, perfectly legal, but they're going to call a face mask and back to this one and give them half the distance to the goal.
I do not I agree with that and I've been critical of the officials tonight, but I think they've missed some easy calls.
You tell him Tracy, McDaniel you tell him.
You look at coach gartrell, he's not happy.
No, use with you.
Coach your defense to be aggressive like that, you've got a Defender who's six foot tube going up against a five foot six running back.
There's a height discrepancy there.
If you're not laying down on the ground, you're gonna have to tackle the guy High replay.
First down, let's go trolling as defensive coordinator, Donald sellers, they've been together for a long time.
Be a lot more fired up than coach Carr trailers.
Right was definitely first and goal at the for for the Lions 553 in counting down.
Take a look at the Stevenson sideline and they trailed at Smith Straight Ahead still on his feet and he's in He's in for a touchdown, the big fellow.
How do you like a whole lot of number 33, huh.
Well, he limped out a little bit earlier.
We weren't sure if he was going to check back in and on the exact same drive.
He comes back in touchdown replay brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more.
And speaking of earning, it Jamal Smith earned every inch.
He got there and it was not only a second effort, but maybe a third and fourth effort that squeaks squeezes him in the end zone.
He deserved to get in the end zone.
Tonight, he's done some good work.
I don't like it.
27:14 pending the extra point from a Yannick.
Wow the kick is up and it is no good.
So it stands at 24 214, courtesy of the touchdown by Smith.
You take a look at robear Freeman is line.
05:13 543 left in the third you are watching gpb's exclusive coverage of football Fridays here in the great state of Georgia.

Not a chemistry.
Is going on in there and your mind.
The perception of flavor is created by the brain.
Surprising secrets of why we eat the things we do.
This is really scientific meat.
Stick rat, puppets, impressive, and disgusting.
You definitely look like a supertaster on Nova sciencenow, Wednesday, at 10:00 on GPB.
Be back here with MLK leading 27, to 14, courtesy of the touchdown by Jamel Smith.
And right now, the third quarter looking pretty good for the Lions who want to go back to lawsonia tray with a nice Victory here tonight at 5:43 to go here in the third quarter, the touchdown scoring Drive brought to you by our good friends at tcsg.
Learn more earn more, eight plays, 84 yd the elapsed time.
Two minutes and seven.
S, take a look at the replay tray and take us through.
Just watch the effort here by Jamal Smith.
He's bottled up early.
His offensive line gets a good push and then he gets a good push as well.
Getting a lot of help right there from his offensive.
Lineman number 54 Kwan Stallworth, really helped him get that extra push into the endzone Stallworth by the way, just a sophomore as well.
Some big-time offensive lineman on this field and they really played their hearts out tonight for MLK Cornelius Jones, want Stallworth and Tom bent the center, Tim Matthews the Right Guard and of course Joshua Outlaw.
Maybe one of the best in the state and his position as kick taken by one of the up men, and it looked like a Cameron, Glen on the receiving end, it'll take over right at the 22 Smith.
Right now, 11 carries, 93 yards, and of course, the touchdown to put MLK up 27:14, the extra point by crop failed.
So that's where it stands right now.
13 point lead for the Lions, over the Jaguars of Stephenson Stephenson went to football football first and 10 at their own 22 and they Trail by 13 home and brings them up to the line of scrimmage.
And the give is to squirm his way to Jones.
He gets over the 25 up to about the 27 yard line.
And among those on the stop from MLK, Jack aarthi Mac.
Also saw Isadora Davis in there as well.
That's exactly what you want.
If you're Stevenson, Gill almost five yards on first down, we have not seen that a lot tonight.
A gain of four may get a second and six at the 26 507 to go here in the third quarter.
You see the man in motion to backs behind Holman and sweeping is Jones again and he gets clobbered down there by Arden key six-foot-six.
It's 215 pound sophomore.
His helmet came off which tells you and the fumble by Jones recovered by Jones, but that was a hit by key was a patient run to, he's me notices at the edges and open and he gets everything he can.
He dropped the ball.
Lucky that he jumped on.
That's the last thing on Earth that they need to happen right now for the Jaguars already trailing by a couple possessions.
They desperately need to put something together here.
You know, this is a very critical possession Gail even though we still have four minutes to go before we even start the fourth quarter, their offense just as not look like it's been in a rhythm yet tonight, aside from the first play from scrimmage which was a 85-yard touchdown run by Jones.
They have not been able to do much on offense and they do that in Mama.
There goes that man.
Again, let's Jones on a quick first to gain of 26 and he gets into MLK territory at the 49 yard line.
Looks like he'll, they've taken Tevin Washington out and replaced him with Evan Jones because he gives them a little bit more burst, and he just showed it right there.
Had a chance to break that one for a lot more yards.
But one thing I do, like about MLK Gil aside from that big play because remember the only other touchdown that Stevenson scored was on a 75 yard fumble recovery.
They've only scored one offensive touchdown.
It was the very first play from scrimmage.
The Atlantic put together anything on offense, thus far.
And this is Normally a very explosive Stevenson offense, flag on a play, that'll wipe it out.
We play it, Jeremy, Tyler among those on the stop for the Lions of em, okay?
Jones right now, before that Terry before it was called back, six carries and 121 yards.
The Guild before.
Too long.
Stevenson's going to have to put the ball in the air.
That's not really what this particular version of Stevenson and 2012 is known for homans of capable passerby who's got over 500 yards and five touchdowns on the year.
But only a completion percentage of 44 so it's definitely not their strong suit.
If it were me, I would continue to try to establish the run and then mix in some very, very high percentage passes specifically to that assortment of tailbacks that they have including Evans.
Jones has been the lone bright spot on the offensive side for the Jacks tonight, First and Ten at the 32, commodity up back, then the gear that is to the second back through and it's Jones.
He slithers his way over the 40 yard line up, to about the 41, HA stand back among those on the stop.
Let's take a look at the Stephen offensive plays.
They were scripted.
You see what they look like.
What do you see Troy?
Well, 10 in the third quarter is a little bit more like it, 10 in the Fire.
First half is not when you're a ball control offense and you only hold, hang on to the ball for five minutes and ten plays in the first half, something's gone horribly wrong and the Blake.
All are you just got to look at them?
The offensive coordinator Reggie Bowl, second, and two, and running off tackle, and getting first down yardage, and getting close to the first down and scooches way, close to the 45 yard line over the 45 you about the 46.
Deal with that first down, you'll see Evan Jones for was that Evan Jones.
You'll see Tevin Washington, checking back into the game.
Okay, we're to have an awesome excuse me, and Evan Jones, checking out to get a little bit of a breather first down at the 45 guilt irate, Ray McDaniel John, Nelson 240 in the third quarter 27:14 MLK, Little off, tackle and pushing his way close to Midfield and stop right there is Kevin Austin, your I think the offensive line for Stephenson for the first time tonight.
Looks like a Stevenson offensive line, a great block there to Spring Austin.
45 yards by Junior, Right Guard.
Gavin brown right.
Number 53.
Normally a A couple getting some, getting some starter role here tonight because of some injuries on the offensive line, doing a great job on this drive and of course that offensive line led by the two-year starter Jordan Dunham.
Second and five at Midfield and off-tackle spinning his way, it would have 45 minutes of that to the 44 of them.
Okay?
On the stop was the pony.
Daniel Wilson.
Great push again here by the offensive line, a couple pancake blocks in there.
You love it when you're talented, tailback has a chance to run for four or five yards before he's even contacted for the first time.
Evan Jones another first down for Stephenson.
The play calling of Reggie Bowl the offensive coordinator in.
Yes Reggie Baul.
The former quarterback at Georgia.
Tech was a Stephenson Alum, First, and Ten at the 44, For the Jaguars straight, drop back Coleman as a receiver down field and a great catch a push-off, but we see no flag and that pass was complete.
And for the first time, Dexter Neil was on the receiving end.
It's inside the 5 down to the for a game of 39.
First, and goal for Stephenson Gil, Stevenson had one first down in the first half.
That is their fifth here.
In just the third quarter got away with A little bit of a push off.
Does Neal looks like Brandon Marshall there with the subtle push off on a number 14, the senior David Davis.
Great pitch and catch.
I said they were going to have to air it out at some point.
They decided to go for the kill shot once they approached Midfield first and goal at the Ford and spending his way and looking in, for the End Zone, getting pushed in, is he in no signal for the referee.
So, he's down about the one foot line.
They unearth that power will find out who it is.
Look, like they gave the ball to the full-back.
His first Carry of the game day.
Marty, he killed his kids, only come into the game with nine carries on the air and a touchdown.
I think they may be giving it to him here again Full House backfield behind Holman but Stevenson wants to take a timeout with 28 ticks here in the third quarter of fast-moving, third quarter here at hallford Stadium.
Okay, Jon Nelson.
Hello again.
To you?
Well, good evening to both you and a tray.
Let's talk about some action in Region 2, AAA the Marquee matchup there, we've covered it all night long.
You saw the score at the break, has to do with Peach County and Pike County and Peach was up 21-14.
Second quarter, the biggest matchup in this region is going to be next week.
You see those two teams with the top of the ladder Peach County and Carver Columbus.
They're going to go at it.
You're going to hear from each County head coach Chad, Campbell next week talking about Del Maguey.
And that matchup because those two heavyweights Peach County right now as the top-ranked team in AAA and the Trojans really want to make a run.
But they're going to have Thompson and Washington County to combat and Thompson and Washington County were going at it tonight.
We'll have updates on that as well.
And to answer the trivia question, I'm going to find an answer for you the last time Stephenson lost two.
Regular season games in a row, I'm working on it.
I'll have an answer for you in a bit.
The first, the former Auburn Tiger Del Maguey doing great job at car.
Columbus right now.
Second and goal.
I'm looking for the End Zone, they're going to try to push him in and it's Holman on the snake.
Did he get over?
Referee things get a little chippy down here to referee.
We're gonna get in, they signal a touchdown touchdown, Stevenson was about to say go referees, are going to go in there and get get some kids off the pile just so it doesn't get too chicken.
Then at the end of the day, another touchdown 11-play drive tray, that started at the 22-yard line at their own 22, it culminates with a touchdown with Holman, calling his own number and just like that, it's a 27-20 football game pending the extra point by ZT.
Ziti will try to make the extra point out of the hole of Giovanni weekly.
The snap and the kick, it is good.
So Holman with a touchdown and 21 points on the board right now that makes it 27 to 21.
They creep within six 11 plays is 78 yards, a drive downstairs to John Nelson again.
Okay, here's the answer to the trivia question.
We had to go all the way back to 2004 when Stevenson Their season seven and five, they actually lost their first three games in a row, McEachern, Southwest DeKalb and McNair.
Then they lost another game, they went two and three then two and four losing to Douglas in a seven and five year there were six and one in region, but we had to go back all the way to 2004 for that answer.
Trey had the answer of here, John, I want you to know that he was dead on it.
Check us out next, Friday, with football.

Oh, I'll be there down to Tyrone with us.
It may take me half a day or so to get there, but I'll be there.
Bray takes it at his own five, reverses his field and gets outside with that.
Great speed, but is not able to get too far.
It gets over the 15 about to the 17-yard line with the lines with a 16-point lead, 11 ticks to go in the third quarter will take over for the football and you see the scoring drive by Stephenson and Ron gartrell.
Tcsg learn more earn more, 11 plays, 78 yards, the elapsed time, Minutes and 21 seconds tray kill.
They held the ball on that possession longer than they had.
It in the entire sum of the first half.
That is a lot more.
What Stevenson's about and just when you think the game is getting out of hand, they bring it back to within one possession.
In when I say one position, I mean six points at this game stays closed.
We may be remembering the light Brave, excessive celebration penalty which led to a Mist 27-yard extra point.
Great point.
And they carry was Williams.
He gets over the 20 up to about the 21 and that will conclude.
If they're coated as we say, every time we move to the fourth quarter trays doing it.
Our outstanding statistician, Kevin Barnes is on it.
Steve Graham and their truck is doing it.
That's right.
Hold up.
Four fingers.
We're headed to the fourth MLK up by 6 will be right back Consulate in it.

High School sports here in the state of Georgia, second and five for the Lions and of MLK.
They lead by six 27 to 21.
We start the fourth here in Clarkston and what has been a very outstanding football game here on GPB.
Still on his feet.
Getting over the 35 up till about the 37 yard line as Williams 15 yards and a first down for the MLK line.
That's a great camera.
Angle right there to see what's been making this run game work.
All night long for the Lions and that's the push by their offensive line.
There's not one free black Jersey that And have somebody locking up with him.
Johnson has a man out there at that is complete and that is Clark at the 30-yard line of Stephenson.
They quick snap.
Both of us killed great play.
Call play action again, you know, 45 to another one of their Speedster, wide receivers goes up, gets the ball at the highest point.
I got to tell you this one, two punch in the wide receiving Corps, but it might Brave and Donald Clark Second To None, Khalil ladler on the stop.
First and Ten at this Stevenson 34, the Lions of MLK Johnson, brings them up.
Speed up a little NASCAR offense form, little duck and dive move.
And that's Williams again, trying to get to the house, and he has stopped short of the 10-yard line.
And he's getting into that second level you want heater can on a stop, you watch the strong safety Peter.
Can he just didn't know quite what to do?
He kind of had to maintain his possession just in case Williams, Bounce It Outside.
He made what ended up being a touchdown saving tackle.
This is not what coach gartrell wanted from his defense first and goal at the 12, a gain of 18.
Again, it's that man sleeping on the edge and looking for the End Zone, Lords, his head and gets inside the 5 down to the Or and running downhill as Williams again on the stop.
Ronald peterkin.
Mono, e, mono, Williams against Peter.
Caen here again, peterkin does exactly what he has to do.
He gets low and takes a wallop from Williams.
We thought Jamal Smith packed a punch.
Watch that from Williams Williams.
Smelling End Zone.
Almost got in.
But a great tackle.
Saving a touchdown and coming up off of that lot off of that pile.
Was Rashad pain.
It look like what it was.
Okay, that was a touchdown saving Tackle by Richard pain and there you see Williams numbers, 11 yards, shy of 100.
So far on the night, really getting it, done back there, bunch of Williams, getting into the second and third level of that Stephenson defense.
10:26.
You see the time at her on it at the top of your screen, the lines, leading 27, to 21, trying to add on for some more Full House backfield and they give and smelling the end zone and sniff Jamal Smith.
Touchdown MLK.
Another excessive celebration flag thrown, so that means mr. Crocker's going to have another long extra point.
Try to make Dan, yeah, it would in effect.
Be another 26 yarder, you got Jamal Smith scoring his second touchdown of the night.
This one brought to you by technical college system of Georgia, learn more earn more and more young man.
Just say, do I want to go, right?
Do I want to go left?
I'm just going to bowl him over and then you see the celebration pulls the Cam Newton there.
And then the referee pulls his version of the Cam Newton, which is pull the flag out of your pocket.
Ryan George on the stop, you see, Jamel Smith's numbers on the night.
Seven plays 84 yd Drive the elapsed time, a minute 59.
And the extra point is Good 3421 MLK.
Let's take a look at what hat, what robear Freeman and Company have in front of them after tonight?
Gil, this is a brutal stretch, the three best teams in the region.
Not named MLK Stevenson Tucker Miller Grove back-to-back-to-back.
What they're doing to Stephenson tonight.
He's got to make coach Freeman, feel real good about his chances.
The next two weeks if Stevenson had really Destroyed MLK tonight.
You might think their number two ranking was a little bit of smoke and mirrors, after seeing this team play, they are legitimate top five team in the state.
They have a chance.
Not only to win this region, but to go, as far as coach Freeman, can possibly take them in the playoffs that Tucker and Miller Grove game.
Go not a given but they have a real good chance to win.
Their third consecutive region Champion.
We just talked about their scoring drive.
Thank you, Trey brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more than seven plays.
84 yd dry.
I've the elapsed time a minute 59 and Ramel Smith, talking, a whole lot of noise on that sideline and has every right to do.
So the long pass to set it up, the connection of 45 yard pass from Johnson to Clark and I've got it down inside the 5 and then the give to Smith off, tackle, and barrels over George got over there little too late and the touchdown, the touchdown replay brought to you by TC.
G. Learn more earn more.
Kill if you had told MLK, ban getting jiggy with it, one time.
And they are striking up the noise, and all we got to do is get a John Nelson tree over there, right?
Delete it, right job directing them last week, tell you that start to get him back by popular demand.
He got do a different song this week.
We can't just go with the old standbys.
Got to be something a little more complicated.
Yep man.
Evan Jones tries to advance the short kick.
He gets it over the 35 up to about the 37-yard line.
Stephenson in a 13-point hole.
Will try to climb out of it.
1007 to go here in the fourth and final quarter, as well as MLK has run the football tonight, which has been the biggest surprise for me that they have two backs that have both almost gone for the century mark.
That's What surprised me.
But their effectiveness at running, the football means that Stephenson has got to put points on the board in this drive, or this game might be over your head of from Trey McDaniel First and Ten at the 36 at their own.
36.
Carrie was the Emma Jones.
No game kill when we talking intend, when we talked to Coach Freeman this week, he said his offensive line had been banged up.
And we have another drop ball by Evan Jones for the second consecutive possession.
He's able to jump back on it 933 and counting down and Stevenson staring at his second and 10 Holman And I passed look like it was tipped.
Alan Michael Harkness among those plying pressure on the edge.
The lions running it at 353 defense tray and bring in diabete.
Yeah.
And right now, if I'm the defensive coordinator for MLK, I say, whatever happens happens, but no big plays whatever you do, keep them in front of you, if you've got to, give them on the outside because they're going to start passing here.
If you got to give him five six, seven yard cushion do.
So keep the ball in front of you and tackle the way that you have so far for three-and-a-half Corners as a team with 11 guys rushing to the football.
They've done a brilliant job.
That tonight just an old man operates out of the shotgun steps up and has a man and it is complete in MLK Tori Tori at the 40-yard line and it's Isaiah Zuber.
Maybe the most effective effective pass of the night for Stephenson.
And a great hands catch there by number 85 Isaiah's Uber.
There's a sophomore First.
And Ten at the MLK 44.
Stevenson long, count, high snap, the keeper by Holman sweeps over on the Edge, gets over, 235 down to about the 34.
I like the play call Gil but you need a sense of urgency.
And finally, you see it with the no-huddle for Stephenson.
You know, how told by the Jaguars second and five at the MLK 35-day Trail 3421, Holman in the flat finds a receiver there and gets it to the receiver who gets it down to about the 25 to the 26, said, Zuber.
The sophomore Isaiah's Uber than a big part of this drive so far.
And well, blocked on the outside, by senior Taylor Henry, which allowed Zuber to get the ball down the sideline, but we've got an injured player.
Jeremy, Tyler, Jeremy, Tyler down on the field.
Chuck, ADEA on the stop for MLK tray.
Let's go downstairs to John Nelson Nelly.
All right guys, let's catch up on some scores that are going on around the state Tucker right now.
Leading Miller Grove, 28 to 13 here in DeKalb County.
Obviously, a lot of folks here paying attention to that score as well in Triple-A Thompson came from behind to beat Washington County at the house of pain.
They were down, 14 7 at the break came back to win, Twenty Eight to fourteen Valdosta in a must-win situation.
In region one 6A gangs Conquest County leading 38 to 40 In the fourth quarter and apparently there are reports out of South Georgia that the head coach for Colquitt County Rush Propst has drawn an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
At some point in the fourth quarter, other scores on the board.
We've got finals.
3524 North Gwinnett over Collins Hill also on the board Lassiter of final 38 223 over wheeler we got more scores coming up as we go back upstairs to you guys is the fourth quarter.
Continue, thank you John.
Good news, Jeremy, Tyler able to go off on his own power.
And what do you think about our good?
And Coach Propst, huh?
Unsportsmanlike penalty.
Can you imagine that?
Yes shades of what happened in?
Georgia, Dome.
The Corky Kell to start it out.
North Gwinnett.
Remember that?
He's a fiery guy, that's for sure.
But he gets his players to play hard for him.
I'm sure times.
He takes it over the top.
I'm sure.
John Nelson will unearth videotape of debt.
If anyone can, it'll be John First and Ten for the Jaguars and rolling out on the keeper.
That's Holman Still on his feet gets over the 20 down to about the 17-yard line.
And we've called out this name a whole lot tonight and the person of Jack aarthi Mac and he was there.
Well designed the step, and for the first time tonight, you see in this possession, Gil.
That they're letting Holman carry the ball.
They obviously are very cognizant of the fact that they don't want to turn the ball over and they want to move the football and Holman is a capable, rushing the quarterback.
He's got three touchdowns on the season, but this is the first time tonight.
We've really seen it paid dividends and it's opening up plays like that.
The operative word, being pull security team.
That is Stephen, Austin.
Taking it inside the 10 down to about the seven.
You'll just, when you think that was all she wrote in the momentum, was securely on the line side.
Watch Stevenson do what they did in the last possession where they drove down in about five minutes or so.
And scored a touchdown, they're doing the exact same thing.
Here Jaguars in the hurry up, straight ahead and looking for the end zone and he's close to getting in and he's in it.
And in for the touchdown that look like it was Austin tray, it was and he's doing his best Herschel Walker impersonation.
Watch this lowering the boom on Laurens Griggs, getting in for the touchdown, he loses the ball but it breaks the plane at touchdown replay brought to you by our good friends at tcsg learn more earn, more CD on.
For the extra point.
Ladies kick is up and it just sneaks through so the Jaguars get on the board.
Kevin Austin.

Thank you for your support.
The Jaguars are coming back.
They Trail MLK 34-28, now, 734 here, in this fourth quarter, straight McDaniel, the scoring Drive, brought to you by our good friends at tcsg learn more earn more.
Yeah, eighth-place 64 yards, two minutes and 22 seconds.
So on back-to-back possessions, two touchdowns Largely done with the ground game of Stevenson, which is what we expected coming in.
They've taken about 7 minutes off the clock and the last two possessions and they've played Stevenson football.
One of the things they've done Guild, they've been perseverant, which is very much the mo of their head coach coach, gartrell, they can sue the touchdown again, just a nice Tough Run by Tevin Washington runs flat over large Griggs there at the 5-yard line.
Nice second effort to get in the end zone.
Luckily for him the ball, broke the plane before it slipped out of his hands.
Of course, all of our touchdown replay is brought to you by tcsg learn more, earn more and guilt.
There's been a couple times tonight where I thought the momentum was so far in MLK's favor that they probably wouldn't relinquish it for the duration of this football game and Stephenson is proved me wrong every time.
What a resilient Bunch this game, could go either direction right now.
ZD booms it taken by Clark at his own five.
Sweeps around left in, still on his feet, with great speed, in the open field, the first season skill gets outside and there's a man waiting for him, but he clears him over Midfield, 4540 Danville about the 37.
Great run on a kickoff return by Donald Clark, 60 yards, Trey MLK and button.
He was looking for the sidelines, he got it a couple of MLK players did a remarkable job of not committing a block in the back then it cuts all the way across the field and despite a few Stephenson Jaguars.
Having angles on them, he gets around the corner anyway and all of the sudden this momentum is going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
This is like Heavyweight fight.
You know, folks trained McDaniel right after the brakes of guilt?
I smell a big play.
We got a big play in the person of Clark, huh.
Yes, the arch you're in that that area Gill with half a quarter left in the football game.
A one possession game, where one big play or one costly mistake by either.
One of these teams could shift the tide permanently in this football game had Clark taking it to the house.
It could have been that play, it might very well end up being that play.
If MLK can do something with it often.
Civ lie, but we got a pre-snap flag here.
It'll be a delay of game on MLK Clark killing of Gant being looked at by Southern and tell Bama estate.
We welcome you to Holford Stadium High at sap hallford.
Stadium here, very in Clarkston guilty, real along with Trey McDaniel and we wish you and yours a very happy Halloween.
This is a pre Halloween edition of football Fridays in Georgia, of course next week we'll be down at Tyrone for Sandy Creek.
In Carrollton, get a look at our good buddy.
Ray van Teague and the Carrollton team is a going to Sandy Creek.
Johnson looking a long home run and has a receiver out there and that is great.
Again, inside the 10 down to the Jaguar.
5-trey, he sunk something, you know, who else in Gold?
You know who else is some something mankwe be as Johnson has absolutely shown me that he is the best quarterback that we've laid eyes on this season.
Watch him.
Put the ball right there.
That corner did not stand a chance in polite, Bray already with two touchdowns through the air.
A 95 yard kickoff.
It was called back in a remarkable catch right there that will set him.
Okay, up first and goal just clown and Jared, Tucker first and goal at the 6.
Smelling the endzone, what his head down, and barreling down inside the 5 down to about the to is Williams.
And on the stop was Braxton Butler for the Jaguars 644 and counting down.
Because of how quickly they've moved the ball, down the field if they're able to punch this in quickly, Stephenson has plenty of time left on the clock with 6:30 for the quick snap.
And a touchdown tray in the endzone Williams.
And MLK on the board again and put a 40 spot on them.
Here's a replay.
What do you buy?
Tcsg.
Learn more and more.
I'm not sure he was even touched Gill and he wasn't right into the end zone again.
Very well blocked by the five.
Big guys up front for MLK that have gotten it done all night long.
They've had that passing game when they've needed it, but their running game and their passing game, like I said, earlier around halftime everything, they touched.
Is the goal tonight for him?
LT looks like they're going to go for two smart move Johnson, two-point conversion to Bray.
He got to point Conversion is good and it's a two possession game right now.
4228 technical college system of Georgia, touchdown replay, learn more earn, more two-point conversion, they continue to pick on Tucker over in that left side.
I tell you what, that kid, prey on her, he's something else you.
Let me ask you this question.
We see a lot of high school football.
This MLK team, most complete team.
You've seen this year, I tell you what.
If you're doing close I mean, I know Norcross look pretty good.
That point, you know, they played north Winnetka, good late, three plays, 49 yards, the elapsed time, 51 seconds and a two-point conversion.
And let's take a look at what's the polite break.
He's been something something and the guy throwing him a football against Johnson, there's brace first, touchdown was first touchdown of the game for them, then the last one that just set up the last touchdown.
Here's the two-point conversion, excuse me?
His second touchdown, and that he also tacked on a two-point conversion, which we just saw down here and the far end zone.
This young man has done it all tonight.
Look at those numbers only Five catches when 135 yards in a couple touchdowns through the air.
Of course, the two-point conversion.
We just talked about and I know I keep going back to it but it was it was an amazing play that got called back on what I believe to be a bogus Block in the back but had a 95 yard kickoff return earlier in the game as well.
Thank you Trey.
And of course, receiving a whole lot of interest is brave Arkansas.
Tennessee Ole Miss Mississippi State.
Can you imagine Dan Mullen and a few more names of that list after this performance tonight and you imagine Dan Mullen Hugh freeze.
Oh yeah.
Derek Dooley.
Derrick do maybe later this time job and John L Smith.
Looking at that video tape via huddle, the video service.
And what have you huh?
Can you imagine that peeking in on that tonight?
I'd be loading 228, short kick off and I'm going to try Unearthed at MLK saying, they got it.
Stephenson saying they got it.
Who's going to confirm it with the referees that who has on that was uncalled for Hillary.
John Cohen for and that's an ejection.
He'll probably be a yes, it that's number 34 for MLK.
That's Chuck.
ADEA absolutely losing his cool the 25-yard line and he's going to be met by coach Freeman, right?
At about the 40 yard line and I'm sure he's gonna get an earful.
He's getting an earful right now and deservedly.
So a fantastic player.
Gil, we haven't called his name a whole lot tonight, but Jacques ADEA is a junior 6-foot 175-pound.
He's one of those guys that we keep talking about.
That's going to play football at the next level.
Also, that's Martin, this is how you hurt your team, the unearth, the scrum, and the pile.
And then you see 34 running, totally uncalled for Look Dwayne Beck.
Yes, just pulling them out of the pile.
Like you said, you'll your phrases always unearth the pile.
He's trying to help unearth the pile.
Nothing malicious here at all just trying to get him off of his guy.
And I gotta admit that fire me up a little bit but I certainly wouldn't get up and throw a Haymaker.
That's absolutely uncalled for offsetting penalties to and they're talking to Dale on the sidelines and you just don't do that now and I'm you know you just don't do.
These kids are working their tail off, but after a play like that, he deserves to get an earful.
He'll learn something from this.
Keep in mind, he's a young man just a junior.
Probably 15, 16 years old.
No older than 17 years old.
So learning experience out there, but you absolutely can't have that Stephenson.
Will have 628 of collective work with a trail and this football game 4228.
And that pass was almost picked off in a flag on the play.
Not quite sure what the flag is.
Look like it is uncatchable balls.
15-yard penalty automatic first down the called Defensive pass interference.
And that's a free 15 yards for Stephenson right now.
The clock, the Jaguars worst enemy only six minutes and 22 seconds to go.
And you're down by a couple of touchdowns.
It's been a high-scoring affair, like it was last year and every time we thought Stevenson was down and out here in the fourth quarter, they've answered back with a touchdown.
Not only do they have to answer back with a touchdown here?
Gil there?
Do it quickly?
We saw a coach of excel, a shot of co-chair, robear Freeman, John and trave talked about came over to replace coach Carson.
He called it very unfortunate situation, took advantage of the opportunity played for the Titans and went to Clark, Atlanta played for NFL Europe, a lot of coaching experience.
When outside line, five wide receivers five lives were Stephenson with a man in motion up top.
It's a jump ball and that's picked off.
It's picked off by Marquis cold and he's still on his feet.
Came with the football five down inside the Stevenson three, we're going to Mark him out at the half-yard line and they also threw a flag in.
There could be a late hit, 78, yard, pick and interception return.
Watch Marquis Kane have to fight for this football.
This was by no means an easy interception for the young man.
Great catch in good presence of mind to not just go out of bounds to turn around and keep your feet and make a big play for your team.
This might just be the big play that seals it for MLK.
You saw flag come in early and right here.
You see another flag late?
Because you got his hand inside the back of his helmet and Drug him out of bounds, they'll call a Necessary Roughness on that one.
Not sure what the early flag was.
Meeting of the minds down here.
Gil is the 10-yard line.
They're trying to sort out exactly what happened.
One thing we know for sure MLK barring, something absolutely crazy, and it could happen in this game.
Believe me will probably win this football game as we move forward with these football teams Stephenson right now, if this stands out continues to Trend, awaits trending right now in deep trouble.
No, not at all.
It's just, they're not going to get the playoff seed that they want.
Because of course in the playoffs you want to be a Two seed because you get to go into the playoffs and play a three or four.
They will now likely be a number three.
Maybe even a number four seed with just makes their playoff route.
A little more difficult but this is one of the best teams, the five a classification as well.
They are just the unfortunate beneficiaries or unfortunate beneficiaries of the fact that they play in one of the toughest regions in the 5A classification.
They're still trying to figure out what's going on out there.
Take a look at the heart breaks for Stephenson tray.
They've had a whole lot of them.
Yeah, and some of them go back even before our graphic, we just didn't have a big enough graphic to fit them all in.
This is almost every single year year by year.
What happened to them and you can rest assured.
Every single one of these teams that beat Stevenson had less College Talent on their roster van did Stevenson He'll I think the best team that this Stevenson High School has ever had was back in 2002 when Reggie Baul was the quarterback.
Craig Lumpkin was there running back coach, gartrell, son TJ was there wide receiver.
They were ranked 12 all year long, and they got knocked out in the quarterfinals, by Lowndes and 2005.
They had a fantastic team made it all the way to the semies, and they also got knocked out by Lounge That season this team, Believe It or Not, Guild hard to wrap your mind around it, all the great.
The coach Carr, trellis at has never made a Championship Game appearance.
Get a look at Ron gartrell and of course, no one is office.
The, it's almost a who's-who virtual who's who of all the people that he's had in terms of players here at Stevenson.
And the positive impact it has had on their lives, except your main cutting em, calls them every week and Jermaine Cunningham is by far.
One of the best players I've ever seen come through here.
Along with Reggie Bush.
Paul Craig Lumpkin.
And Reggie's had some brothers come through this program.
I think the best of them has been Marcus ball.
It's all to possess for pound the best, our blah blah, to waste on a turntable.
Personal foul face mask on the defense first down, John Nelson.
Content, continuing the point that tray McDaniel handles, talk about that 2002 year, it ended up December the 6th a twenty seven to twenty loss to Camden County and so that was kind of how things have been developing for Jeff Heron getting those signature wins and it seems that Camden County and Stevenson always seem to mix it up in the second and third round to make sure that one of those guys was going to go deep and most times it's been Camden.
Going on the edge.
That's Williams.
Trying to turn the corner.
Thank you.
Jon Nelson, 553 and counting down 4228, the lines of MLK trying to spoil the homecoming for the Stephenson Jaguars.
It's just been a big craft, just an electric prod lip electric at atmosphere.
A lot of tailgating tray before the game, it's the most people.
We've seen turnout for a football game, this year, always and these these these fans were so passionate about this team until we get here.
Pretty early on a Friday.
These stands started filling up tonight about 5:00 three full hours before kickoff.
A lot of tailgating going on standing room.
Only people were standing in line before this game to get.
They knew how to get game it worse.
It's great.
That's enough.
There isn't a flat.
The pass is complete.
And that is Rashad Oglesby and Gil.
There's still a sliver of Hope for Stephenson right now because of those penalties.
It took them a good five, ten minutes to iron out.
Because remember, canes interception, took him out of Bounds at the half-yard line, but the penalties brought him all the way back to the 39, yard line.
So if Stevens can send, can somehow come up with a big play here or just a stop.
Now, mind you, they have to strike quick on offense, but because of those penalties, they still A shred of Hope in this football game down to touchdown 3rd and 10 at the 38 - boy B is Johnson.
See the Man in Motion that's Oglesby.
It was into the slot and we have Flags again you'll this might be a false start on my way because Johnson started to kind of lean back and take a step before they snap the ball.
I believe they caught him on the false start help Stevenson but they gotta get their defense off the field and get their offense of personnel.
Back out there as quick as possible, third and long.
Facing the Lions penalties MLK 11 for 95-yard Stevenson 8455, courtesy of our statistician, Kevin Barnes done an outstanding job as he always does Fridays in and Fridays out it's picking up tomorrow tray.
We always ask you your prediction City like BYU Georgia Tech and then the big one down in Jacksonville where our commander Steve G going to be heading down and trying to avoid the frankenstorm.
I think Georgia Tech's defense.
Just played a little better than we expected and their offense has played a little worse.
I think that gives them a slight advantage.
Over BYU they have a chance to win.
Both those teams right?
Around five hundred mark, I couldn't tell you.
It depends on what Georgia team shows up tomorrow in that football game.
But I say on paper and because of momentum, what's happened the last two weeks.
I'd have to give Florida a double-digit Advantage, but if Georgia shows up the way that they did in the second half against Missouri and the way that they played against Vanderbilt, you never know.
We heard it from Trey.
Well, I pray will punt at his own 37 yard line and another delay.
A game for MLK Day office, five-yard penalty, fourth down.
So don't move it back.
Evan Jones, back to receive for the Jaguars of Stephenson kill.
You got to spend a lot of time with Coach gartrell this week and you noticed something about his coaching style that's changed from years past.
He's delegated authority to his assistance, sit back and he's watching it up there.
He's a legend, let's Reggie.
Ball coach Coach Jones gloves snap raised in trouble with it as space tries to run this app and he gets tripped up and again flags on the flag.
It's over the 45.
I feel about the 47 yard line.
Let's take a look at the Stevenson schedule that they have in front of them.
After tonight, May is a North Atlanta to very winnable games go.
That's why I said it's not time to hit the panic button for Stephenson just yet.
I think they'll navigate through this regular season 7 and to keep in mind they can't be 8 into because their first game of the season against Pine Forest, Florida, actually got cancelled which is why they will play one less game than their counterparts and it won't matter because it was a non-region game anyway.
But their hopes right now and I believe how it will play out, they will end the season 7 and 2 and they'll be maybe then three, maybe the fourth seed, depending on what happens with Miller Grove the rest of the world.
Tell our viewers exactly how that happened.
They were scheduled to play in Bob Spire started up in North Winnetka.
Correct and team cancer.
I think John will elaborate on that cancelled from the Panhandle and they tried to find an opponent and couldn't cook.
Our Trail said they had like three weeks off and school was in session.
John Nelson, you can expand on that, correct?
Yeah it was a triple header down North Gwinnett and as it turned out they try to get Tallahassee Lincoln to be an opponent but because of the the hurricane that was down in the Gulf it turned out not to be a game that could be scheduled to rescheduled when we talked to Ron gartrell.
He was concerned about that.
Three-week period.
That the team wasn't going to be a be active.
You know what, on the field then.
So you come up the situation like that and you have how things shaped up and it actually Not to be a positive for coach gartrell and the Stevenson team, because it got everything squared away, got injuries all taking care of.
Everyone was healthy and everyone got on the same page when it came to getting the game plan together.
So sometimes, you know, when you're gone was at 25 days, he said that they didn't hit anybody or didn't hit anybody in a different colored uniform.
So sometimes it turns out to be a positive when you're kind of off the off the street for three and a half weeks.
Yeah.
I think they had something like 27 consecutive days without a football game while everybody else was playing football.
As John said, turned out to be a little Bit of a blessing in disguise, the incomplete pests and Neil would Marty's came defending on the play, bringing up a second and ten and taking a football in advancing close to the 40 yard line and putting it on the carpet.
Almost losing, it was Jones, the good news.
There was that free safety.
The senior, Jeremy Tyler number 15 is checked back into the game.
We saw him check out a little earlier with an injury.
You made a great tackle coming up from that free safety position.
You know, but, you know, you, I want to piggyback on what you're talking about, you know, it's interesting, how coach by trailers, and he knows his time and, you know, it's coming in terms of moving on, you know, in terms of retirement or just started with wing-t. Now with the proceed with Reggie, and, you know, you look at the history with coach gartrell and Coach sellers, they've been together for a long time since the 80s.
Absolutely, and you your personal.
Is that our Reggie balls being groomed to be a head coach?
Maybe not coach gartrell successor.
Correct.
Say.
But to be a head coach very soon sooner rather than later.
And you know what?
He told me he said when you and Trey and approve, try to find Reggie job talking about a big town, its way.
He told me in his office says it will do.
So I'm a big fan of Reggie's.
One of the most exciting quarterbacks I've ever seen play at the high school level and love to see him.
Get back to Georgia Tech and see everybody again and you know that didn't end well but, you know, time moves on and that's right.
People change and all that.
He's a Class Act.
I am to her house.
It looks like it's going to be green Straight Ahead.
15, 10 5, touchdown MLK, 70 yards, Wesley, green, and that'll put a cap on this tonight.
That's absolutely right, that's ballgame there.
Dogpiling about 10 yards beyond the back line of the end zone.
I don't see an excessive celebration penalty.
There's the guy we spotlighted at the top and watch him fine.
Another gear.
As he goes down the sideline, he had a convoy until he outrun ran all of them.
The young man is just a junior.
And, you know, when you were a junior and bamas looking at you Florida, Florida, state Georgia, you are one, heck of a player we didn't talk about him all night long Gill and he said, you know what, you're given a lot of love to pull.
I pray and Clark and Johnson what about me?
And he just showed us that he is a force to be reckoned with as well man.
I'm so impressed with him.
LK team, you gotta be extra point, it looks good and it is good to 12 to go in this ball game, folks.
And take a look at the touchdown replay.
Brought to you by our good friends at tcsg learn more earn more wrestling after depict of Holmen, and he is End Zone down folks with a convoy in front of him.
And the lines of roaring big time on Stephenson homecoming night in the battle of the cats between the Jaguars and lines.
Look at that stays.
Holds it like it's a hot potato and once he reels it in, he is End Zone ban and off to the hoop.
And you've seen his tray said, these are the folks that have peeking in, on his great talent.
Look at that.
A who's, who of a virtual who's who?
That's really all ga. Yeah, Alabama, Florida State.
At tells you all, you need to know Tennessee and Florida and just a junior folks and see what the class of 2014 looks like a lot Sony.
It's funny about the recent success of Alabama as soon as you see that they're recruiting somebody it instantly legitimizes their cause as a high school football player and a potential College start the next level soon as Alabama, close their name in the Hat.
And again, I want to say thank you to the outstanding staff at MLK had a wonderful time at lap.
Tony of eating, you know, meeting with the coach of Roberto Freeman, principal building Terry and the office staff of of Sherry Shumake and Familia, Ellison.
Susan Edwards, Angela Martin guitars, you're thrilled to be happy happy, joy joy, hmm.
Okay, great people, wonderful School, great things going on as principal.
Terry told you, they had a lot to be a proud about the same over at Stevenson.
This is MLK team Gil.
That's ranked number two in the 5A, classification.
The only team ahead of them right now, there's a team that Jon Nelson talked about earlier Northside Warner, Robins may have a matchup against number seven, Warner Robins.
Depending on how that game turns out could say a lot as far as the mixing and matching of the five a classification.
But there's one thing I know for sure I've seen it with my own eyes pound for pound, one of the most talented teams in the state.
I don't care what classification you play.
I keep in mind these two schools used to play at.
What was the highest classification 5 a.m.?
Now, there's a six, a classification and they didn't make the jump up.
So they're no longer having to compete with schools that have student body populations 2,500.
They get to play against other schools that have the same number of students as they do and because of that even competition it is only going to be a matter of maybe weeks in this case before one of these DeKalb County Schools, especially in this region.
But when I state championship you see, Happy Happy Joy Joy with polite, Bray.
You just saw the long faces on the Stevenson sideline, great camera work by Creek, great crew here, GPB.
And of course, the agony of defeat Holman in the flat, the pass is complete.
Pushed out of bounds to stop the clock.
I'm gonna 27 to go before we conclude here and Clarkston.
Let's go downstairs again to a man who has done an outstanding job.
The only thing I have a bone, I got to pick with him.
He didn't get gets conduct of an MLK band here tonight Mellie, but there's still time.
I'm busy trying to do some scores here.
Okay, let's try to run through the scores as we have them right now.
The game on gpb.org, Final North Gwinnett over Collins Hill, 3824 Collins.
I had to lead at one point in that wheeler and Lassiter wheeler losses, to Lassiter Lassiter.
Another dominating performance there Lassiter on the Duke 3523 of final there.
Norcross, no problems with Peachtree Ridge once again, Norcross still motoring through and 6A, Camden County was leading Brunswick.
They were up 20 18 at one point was Twenty Eight, two, eight, and a third quarter.
Camden's rolling in region one 6A Colquitt and Valdosta.
This one is still in play Valdosta with two minutes to go is now up thirty eight to Thirty but Colquitt has the football.
They recovered an onside kick scored Valdosta scored.
Then it's been a punt, it's been all over the place.
3830 late fourth quarter, Tucker leading, Miller Grove, 28 to 13 Sandy Creek.
No problems with LaGrange tonight.

Also Peach County beating Pike in a big region battle down there as they get ready for Carver Columbus and Del Maguey next week.

One of the best pure passers in the state of Georgia Bar None.
Oh, bear friend!
It's made something out of what could have been a very nasty and ugly Situation and MLK.
John and Trey talked about it with the lobster of Coach Carson, but they turned a lot of positives in the season and the football teams make something out of it.
Big time, the clock continues to tick down 29 seconds.
This one's going to go back to Lithonia.
Gilson the letters of MLK.
You'll sometimes we because how big of a spectacle High School football is in the state of Georgia and how much we loved it.
Sometimes we forget these are 16 17, 18 year old kids.
So having to endure adversity is not always easy and it's especially not easy to rebound from the Lions of Bella.
Four seconds to go on the sidelines of MLK.
This is a big one for that gentleman and it could be the first right of three consecutive weeks, we'll call him three consecutive steps, right?
Toward a third straight region Championship, got a lot in front of them and the clock ticks down and that's going to do it to it.
