The Howard Johnson’s Restaurant in Lake Placid closed its doors this week. NY Lawmakers pass a new 142-billion dollar budget. The budget also includes funding for a new logger training program at Paul Smith’s College. A 270-million dollar plan to use abandoned mines in Essex County to generate hydro-power underground is moving forward. A new trend is catching on for mountain bikers.
