Mississippi Public Broadcasting first hit the air in February 1970 as the Mississippi Center for Educational Television. The agency hit the ground running— creating a wide range of programming that highlighted the work of acclaimed Mississippi authors and spearheaded a novel approach to teaching, both in the classroom and at home.
