Over 40 years ago the Land of Oz theme park on Beech Mountain, NC was a top destination spot for families in the southeast. After only a decade of service the Land of Oz closed the yellow brick road to the public in the early 1980’s. Now a devoted group of Wizard of Oz enthusiasts keep the legacy and magic of The Land of Oz open to the public a few times per year.
