Also, a gruesome murder.
But don't freak out.
It happens every year for the last 40 years.
It's called Mystery Weekend, and thousands of people flock to Langley to figure out whod.. Let's talk to the writer of Mystery Weekend, Loretta.
Hi, Loretta.
Hi.
Can you tell me a little bit about Mystery Weekend and your involvement?
Mystery weekend has been going on in Langley for 40 years.
It is the oldest interactive mystery event of its kind in the United States.
It was inspired by the game of Clue to help promote the town in the off season.
We have live actors on the street, a fake newspaper and clues scattered all over town.
Everybody, the merchants and everybody in town participates.
Tell me how the town transforms during the weekend?
Well, the population of this little town is only a thousand.
And last year we had 3000 people participate.
So it quadrupled the population of the town.
And we've had people come from all over the world.
Amazing.
Well, I can't wait to check out this event.
Thanks so much for joining me.
My name is Angela.
Thank you for exploring.
I'll see you.
