Man, thank you guys for being here at our church today.
What a pleasure it was to host you.
- Well, thank you so much.
And you did an awesome, elite job of hosting us.
And it's just good as we travel around, we can find out the high, low, and the medium of hospitality, and you guys high.
There are some other highs, but you definitely were high.
- I appreciate your kindness.
It was just a pleasure.
Now, most of the time you interview us, I'm gonna spin it.
Let me ask you a question.
- Yes, sir.
- What is it like to be the host of "Alabama Gospel Roots?"
- It's a blessing of a lifetime.
It's a blessing of a lifetime to be around people across the state who walk up and say, "I watched the show," old and young, red, yellow, Black, and white.
And you can't, you know, you can't buy that.
It's just, you're just grateful, that's where I am.
- As a ministry purpose, what is the purpose of your part of this ministry?
- Well, first of all, if you look at you and I standing here, you know Peter said to the lame man when he was begging for what he thought he needed, he said, "Look on us."
So people out there who are looking on us and say, "How did that happen?"
And then most of them don't know the post-production that takes place.
They just kinda look at it as one continuous concert instead of the fact that we take one, take one.
But when it's put together, it looks like we're all in one big concert, one big service, and we just following each other and flowing.
And that's the way it should be.
So that's what I'm thankful for, that we say to the people, we can get along.
We can get along.
Rodney King said one thing when he was being abused or whatever.
He said what?
"Can't we all just get along?"
And if he can say that, can we say it?
Can we say it?
- It's just a pleasure to work together, isn't it?
- Can't we all just get along?
I want the same thing that you want, which is the best for you and your family and to praise God.
