Education experts say creating high achievement in schools where poverty is a harsh reality is often difficult. In NC, many schools both urban & rural experience the obstacles of inspiring kids to learn when the odds are stacked against them. Heather Burgiss visits North Elementary in Roxboro where a new principal, a dedicated staff, & community members are helping improve student achievement.
