- Hello.
- "Tomboy Gold", such a cool track and so different from anything else that I've heard from you, and I wanted to know what's kind of the story behind that one.
- "Tomboy Gold" is meant to be the companion song to "Destination", which is the song right before it on the record, and "Destination" is a song about the female and non-binary troubadours I've met over the course of my career who helped me find a way to be myself in music rather than worrying about what the industry thinks or what men think, and so that's me looking at them, and then "Tomboy Gold" is the shadow of that song where it's from the perspective of the troubadours mentioned in the other song, which is high concept, (everyone laughs) but it worked out.
- [Woman With Dark Hair] The best kind.
Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- [Male Voice] Hi.
- Hi.
- Hi.
- I'm Liam.
I'm 12.
What advice would you give to a beginning drummer, like just starting out?
- Well, practice as much as possible.
Play along with things that you think are really good.
If you're the kind of person who does well with lessons, I think lessons are good.
Basically, you're gonna learn more if you're having a fun time.
I think lessons stick better when you're really enjoying it.
Not that things that are rudimentary are always boring, but they can be, but as long as you're having a really good time, I think you're gonna.
- Thank you.
- So indulge yourself is what I would say a little bit.
- [Boy In Jersey] Thank you.
- You're welcome.
- Thanks.
- Thank you.
(audience applauds) Anybody else before we wrap, nope?
Okay, give Niko Case a big hand.
Thank you all.
We'll see you back here.
