Mame?
How come Dad doesn't light the candles with us?
Well, Rivkah darling.
It's a woman's job right?
Yes.
It's a woman's job to carry the light into the household.
We reflect on our week every Friday on Shabbats and spend time with our family.
Right as the sun is going down.
It is our job to light the Shabbat candles.
Without the Shabbat light, there can be no peace.
By lighting the candles, you are inviting Shabbat wherever you are.
Remember girls, God is always watching over you.
By lighting the candles, blessings and protection will follow.
[suspenseful music] You are to remove your tichel, and don't think about putting it back on again.
You are no longer Rivkah [?]
You are now under Polish citizenship.
Here are your passports and exit visas.
You must do nothing that could identify you as a Jew.
No tichel and no speaking Yiddish.
Take only what you need.
The train leaves at three o'clock.
[Foreign language] [Foreign language] [cries] [music] What are you doing?
Fine, we did it.
What?
Our passports were made quicker than we thought.
We can leave today.
The train leaves in one hour.
We pack only what we need.
We pack one because it's cold, and you don't take anything that can identify us.
It's Friday.
We are going to travel on Shabbats?
Isn't there another train?
The babies do anything now.
We can't raise her here.
After seeing what's happening to our culture, what can happen to us just walking down the street wearing a tichel.
This is our only chance.
Well, the Torah says it's a mitzvah to violate Shabbat to save a life.
I am scared.
[sobs] [Foreign language] [Foreign language] [Foreign language] [music] Take your seats.
[Foreign language] [whistles] Come see.
Who's thought they can escape on my train?
She even brought her little bustard.
[Foreign language].
[music] Don't touch her.
[crying] No [Foreign language] [train chugging] [Foreign language] It should be arriving soon.
[Foreign language] [Foreign language] [Foreign language] Darkness never triumphs light.
There's always a spark, a flicker.
Even now you didn't forget to light your Shabbos candles.
You will be saved.
[background music] Listen up.
We have arrived to the Polish checkpoint.
When you hear your name, grab your belongings.
Come up to the front.
You'll find your designated train to your next city destination.
