in our Spotlight on Business Report tonight Governor Murphy announced a new Coalition called the Mayors for liquor license reform a group of 90 bipartisan Mayors from all across the state Urban suburban and Rural communities will work together to update the State's liquor license laws those laws come from the prohibition era and the Murphy Administration has called them Antiquated the Coalition of Mayors say their goals include strengthening their downtown areas and spurring economic development especially for small restaurant owners that have been left out of the licensing in the past some of the specific goals phasing out the population cap that limits how many liquor licenses can be given in a municipality and creating more Progressive prices for those licenses [Music]
