How do you feel today?
I feel grateful to be together again in the barn studio.
And I feel very excited, for there's a new family moving to the farm.
Melissa and her daughter, Mariposa, should be arriving soon.
Now, did you notice that there was no wish in the wish box today?
Did you also happen to notice that there's something already in my heart pocket?
It's a letter.
It's from Melissa.
And we can read-- [ notes play ] Did you hear that sound?
It's Wishing Well.
Hi, Wishing Well.
How do you feel today?
[ notes play ] You feel well.
Well, I'm glad about that.
[ notes play ] How do I feel?
I feel like I don't want to wait one more moment to read this letter from Mariposa and Melissa.
It says, "Dear Mister Chris and friends, My daughter Mariposa and I are feeling so many feelings as we travel to the farm.
It's hard to express them all in one letter.
However, we do feel excited to meet you and move into our new home on the farm.
Sincerely, Melissa."
Oh-- "P.S.
Mariposa says she is feeling like a butterfly."
Hmm.
Have you ever moved to a new home, friends?
How did you feel when you moved?
I wonder why Mariposa is feeling like a butterfly.
We could be butterflies.
I know how to make a butterfly shape with my hands.
You can try too, if you'd like.
We just hold one hand up like this.
And the other hand up like this.
And we turn our hands around.
And we can stick out our thumbs and move our hands together.
Cross them over each other... And lock our thumbs, and we're butterflies.

Perhaps one way to truly understand how Melissa and Mariposa are feeling is to ask them questions and to listen to their answers.
And before they arrive, maybe we could learn more about butterflies to try to understand why Mariposa feels like a butterfly.
I think I know just the friend to ask for help.
Okay, friends, let's go.
[ music ] >> Hi, Christine.
>> Mister Chris, friends, it's so good to see you again!
>> It's good to see you too.
We came to ask you questions about butterflies.
>> Well, you definitely came to the right place.
This is our butterfly garden.
>> Wow, it looks beautiful.
>> Thank you!
So, what questions did you have?
Well, Mariposa and her mom Melissa are going to be arriving at the farm today.
Mariposa told us that sometimes she feels like a butterfly.
We were wondering why she feels that way?
Do you have any ideas?
>> Hmm, that's interesting.
One thing I know about butterflies is that they travel really far.
The monarch butterfly travels all the way from Mexico to Canada.
>> How far is that?
>> It's really far.
I can show you.
>> Great.
[ music ] >> So the farm is right here.
And Canada is just above us.
And Mexico is all the way down here.
So the monarch butterflies travel from here... all the way to here.
That's thousands of miles.
>> Wow.
That is really far.
>> Yes.
>> I wonder if the butterflies feel tired after their long journey.
>> You know, I think they do.
They need to find lots of places where they can stop and eat and rest along their way.
That's actually why we plant our butterfly garden.
>> What makes this garden a butterfly garden?
>> That's a great question.
A butterfly garden is a place where we have plants that butterflys like to eat and take shelter in.
It's also a place where they can lay their eggs.
For example, we plant dogbane, because monarchs like to drink its nectar.
And baby monarchs, called caterpillars, well, they like to eat milkweed.
So we plant that too.
>> So it's sort of like a home for butterflies.
>> Exactly.
>> You know, that makes me think of Mariposa.
She and her mom are travelling a long way to their new home, just like the butterflies in the butterfly garden.
>> You know, maybe that's why she feels like a butterfly.
>> That makes sense to me.
I can't wait to ask her about it.
Speaking of which, they're going to be here soon.
I need to start to get ready for them to arrive.
>> Mister Chris, what if we made them a big meal so that they could feel welcomed and they can rest after their long journey?
>> Just like the butterflies in the butterfly garden.
>> Right!
>> Perfect.

>> Thank you for asking.
