It includes St Clair Health Care Mountain Comprehensive Care Center and revived recovery after Tuesday's announcement.
Those in active addiction checked out a recovery resource expo.
Here's the story.
To the people of the mountains in the hills of eastern Kentucky today.
The fans again.
Who they are.
A place that is looking to heal.
So this is St Clair coming together with Mount Comprehensive Care.
The revived program and so many others to bring more treatment services to this community to better connect the moment someone might come to a hospital suffering from addiction to bring the best medical treatment as well as the best peer support specialist all together.
This has been a game changer over the last eight years to see all communities come out not with judgment, but with love, with empathy, and with support for our treatment providers.
The recovery is just such a huge part of what's needed.
You know, people are struggling a whole lot with addiction because of trauma and mental health, things like that.
We're just want to open up those avenues.
And much sooner than a lot of people have the opportunity to learn and give them the chance to find that, you know, recovery is possible and being clean and having a life outside of substance use is something that they can have.
We are starting to really gain ground.
More treatment beds per capita in Kentucky than any other state.
More recovery services than we have ever had.
And now better second chance employment than we've ever seen.
We're going to defeat this addiction.
We want to make sure that we attacked the problem that we know we have in every community.
Stigmas that are around man there, they are so detrimental to finding recovery that they just they just need compassion.
Just they're just they're just people trying to find compassion and love and healing.
More than a dozen recovery programs and businesses participated in the Expo.
