A new exhibit showcases the photography of Diana Solis, a Pilsen resident.
Illustrator, photographer and poet Diana Solis cut her artistic teeth in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, and throughout the 1980s and 90s she encountered — and photographed — many of her fellow artists along the way. A new exhibition at the Poetry Foundation titled "Encuentros: Photographs of Chicago Poetry Communities 1978 through 1994" resurfaces some of her long-lost photos.
