It was recorded at the acoustically superb Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in March of 2026.
It features ensembles drawn from six local universities.
I'm Rob Brown.
And I'm Charlotte Wilson, in partnership with a Troy Savings Bank musical.
We planned a festival to celebrate the excellence of the young musicians in our region called the Next Generation Festival.
It consists of ensembles from six schools in the region, each performing music sets of 10 to 15 minutes.
We reached out to colleges in our area, asking them to suggest a couple of ensembles that might represent their school, with the potential for one to be chosen for the eventual concert.
This was the result, a concert to celebrate the next generation of classical artists.
Some of the student performers you're about to hear will absolutely continue on with careers in music.
Some will perform, some will teach music, and all of them will become the next generation of classical music listeners and lovers and concert goers.
Enjoy the show.
