First probable case of monkeypox identified in NJ

The New Jersey Department of Health has announced the first probable case of monkeypox in the state. Health officials say on June 18 a resident tested positive for orthopoxvirus, a virus associated with monkeypox. That individual is isolating at home while local health departments contact trace to find anyone who may have been exposed.
