Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipthe state attorney general and division on civil rights have found potential violations of New Jersey's law against discrimination today the division issued findings of probable cause in three cases alleging discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in Monmouth County an investigation found sufficient evidence to support a teacher's allegation of employment discrimination and unlawful retaliation after they were barred from discussing gender identity the other two cases include allegations of a hostile work environment spurred by the workers sexual orientation and the alleged denial of service to a non-binary patron who didn't follow the business's dress code for men this comes in the wake of the 6-3 U.S Supreme Court ruling limiting lgbtq protections after the court cited with a Christian business owner who refused to create websites to celebrate same-sex weddings out of religious objections the Attorney General today noting the Supreme Court ruling does not impact the work the division of civil rights and the state is doing to protect the lgbtq community [Music]
