The state’s coronavirus numbers are showing a concerning uptick.
Tuesday, health leaders reported 993 new cases, pushing the cumulative total to 215,085 with seven new confirmed COVID-19 deaths. In total, there have been 16,182 confirmed and probable fatalities. The rate of transmission is holding steady at 1.16, but that’s five weeks that the RT has been above the key benchmark of 1.0.
