Of the 31 people on board, 15 were injured.
That includes the driver and 14 kids who were taken to local hospitals.
One child, a 14 year old boy, was seriously injured after being thrown from the vehicle during the crash and pinned under the bus, according to a social media post from the Montvale mayor where the crash happened.
That teenager is still in the hospital today fighting for his life.
Now, police authorities say the bus was heading north when it veered off the right side of the road near exit 172 and flipped on its side.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
It comes on the heels of a deadly weekend on New Jersey roads where 11 people died in seven separate traffic accidents across the state, including in cities from Paterson and Toms River to Manahawkin and Elk.
Gloucester County.
