The virus has now killed 8,549 New Jerseyans, with another 308 fatalities added Wednesday. Statewide, the total confirmed COVID-19 cases is 131,890 with more than 1,513 new positive tests. The numbers are cumulative, but almost two-thirds, or 90,000 residents, have recovered from the virus.
