New recruits are accepted into the State Police force, despite problems unearthed in background checks. Did the urgency to increase diversity play a role? A big energy company has gotten a multi-million dollar state incentive to move its headquarters and jobs to Atlantic City. Good for Atlantic City, bad for western Atlantic County. And count on a bad commute for the foreseeable future.
