Tropical Storm Ida exposed our infrastructure like COVID-19 exposed our health care system. More than two dozen New Jersey residents died. In Hoboken, the poster child for urban storm flooding, there were four water-main breaks, with damage to the main aqueduct causing a boil-water advisory for four days; residents lined up to get drinkable water.
