In the early days of COVID-19, 3D printer owners produced thousands of free face shields.

In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, face shields for health care workers were in short supply. Then, a group of 3D printer owners rose to the occasion and cranked out thousands of free face shields for health care workers - mostly in the Chicago area, but also as far away as Uganda. The operation was founded and run by Rob and Susan Parks, who dubbed the group, the “Noble Army.”
