Nor’easter raises concern in Elizabeth about future flooding

Driven from their homes by Tropical Storm Ida, tenants in Elizabeth want more help

The threat of storms like Tuesday’s nor’easter is causing concern for hundreds of tenants of Oakwood Plaza in Elizabeth. They say they are still being forced to live in shelters and hotels after Tropical Storm Ida flooded them out of their homes and they fear future storms will lead to more flooding. Residents and local advocates are demanding city and federal officials step in.
