At one time wolves were common throughout most of the state. But their numbers decreased rapidly due to trapping, hunting, ranching, and farming. By 1930 wolves no longer existed in the wild in Washington. With conservation and management efforts underway, wolves have begun to return to our state. What happens when you remove an apex predator from the ecosystem? How will we coexists with wolves?
