Breathtaking biking and hiking in the Bitterroot Mountains

Winding through 9 tunnels and 7 high trestles, this 15-mile route crosses the rugged Bitterroot Mountains between Idaho and Montana. The former Milwaukee Road rail bed has been converted from rail-to-trail with the help of government funding and private donations and opened in 1999.
